WHAT FASTLISTER.COM DOES
================================================== ===
Fastlister.com simplifies the eBay listing process. The typical listing process at the eBay website requires up to nine separate screens and several dozen optional choices. FastLister distills the process to two simple screens that can be completed in less than 60 seconds. FastLister employs a unique "drag-and-drop" image tool that makes including auction images faster and easier than ever before.
· FastLister.com is 10 times faster, easier and cheaper than using eBay’s listing methods.
· FastLister.com allows you to list an item for sale at eBay in 60 seconds or less
· FastLister.com is so fast and simple that your middle-school aged kids can list items at eBay.
· Auction Image hosting at FastLister.com is fast, easy, and cheaper than eBay.
By the way, If any of you designers have an eBay ID and, password, you can use a beta version of this program at this URL:
www.Fastlister.com/TEST
It's free (for now)
While trying it out, don’t press the “submit” button on the last page unless you really want to begin an auction – this is a fully functioning beta site.
================================================== ===
AUDIENCE / PROSPECTS
================================================== ===
Our current users at our other auction websites are mostly mom-and-pop operations often with school aged children. We're appealing to all eBay sellers but our service is more suitable to occasional and novice sellers. FYI, two of my other auction related websites are www.BidRobot.com and www.AuctionIncome.com
================================================== ===
BRANDING:
================================================== ===
The home page title should be: "Chuck Eglinton's Fastlister.com" My name can be displayed in a small italicized or script font anywhere near the website name.
You can choose any distinctive type you like for the word “FastLister.com” – or you can create a logo if you like.
However “F’ and “L” should be capitalized in the word “FastLister”
================================================== ===
TRUST
================================================== ===
It's becoming more difficult to get eBay users to sign up with third party services because of recent fraud and spoof emails trying to steal passwords. I think that for prospective users to trust me, and to trust the site, they must be aware of my credentials. They're written below.
You may rewrite, edit, or reformat the credential paragraphs any way you think is appropriate. Maybe you'll suggest that my credentials shouldn't be incorporated in the main page design, but is included as a “Why should you trust us?” Link instead. It's your choice.
At the bottom of this post I've included links to images of logos for the eBay programs that I'm a member of (Square Trade, Education Specialist, Trading Assistant)
(credentials begin)
Chuck Eglinton began buying and selling on eBay in 1997 and achieved eBay "Power Seller" status in 1998. Chuck Eglinton is an Education Specialist trained by eBay and is a certified and top rated eBay Trading Assistant with an extraordinary positive feedback score of 3,300. He is also a charter member of Square Trade.
Tens of thousands of eBay sellers have used Chuck’s applications to create more than 5-million eBay listings since 1997. Chuck’s eBay tools have been mentioned in various books and publications including the best-selling books, “eBay for Dummies,” “Internet Auctions for Dummies,” and “eBay: The Perfect Store,”

CALL TO ACTION / NEWSLETTER SIGN UP
================================================== ===
My primary goal is to get prospects to try FastLister.com without obligation. A secondary goal is to collect their e-mail addresses for a free auction newsletter.
Possible "call to action" phrases:
It's free. Try it now. No Obligation.
Also, I'll provide the ability for them to try it without revealing their own eBay ID and password. I'll likely have it set up so that they can log in with a demo ID. For example
Try it now! Log in with ID:demo and Password:demo
SIMPLE NEWSLETTER SIGN UP: I also would like them to send their e-mail address to sign up for my free auction newsletter. Note the e-mail address capture on in the left column of the Blockbuster.com sample site below.

FASTLISTER'S EASY STEPS
================================================== ===
(you may rewrite, edit, or reformat these paragraphs any way you think is appropriate)
(SPEAKING TO PROSPECTIVE USER)
1) Type a short description of your item that you want to sell at eBay. We’ll tell you how many items like yours have recently sold at eBay and how much you can expect to get for your item. We’ll also suggest the best eBay category to list it in.
2) Tell us your item’s condition and set your starting price for bids. If you’re selling a book, CD or DVD you’re done! We’ll instantly and automatically begin an eBay auction, in your name, using a detailed stock description image of your item taken from a large online database.
3) You’re selling something other than a book, CD or DVD? Simply “drag and drop” up to four pictures from your digital camera (or from your computer) to the FastLister screen. Then write a short description with our simple MSWord-like text editor, and click a button to to start your eBay auction. It’s that simple. You’re done!
