Hi,

This contest is different than the other ones I have posted.

This time I am not looking for the best-looking site. What I want is a site that will "convert" well. Meaning... The point of this site is to get people to fill out a form so that they can be contacted. the more people fill out the form the better!

The site we are redesigning is:
http://www.mesothelioma-asbestos-lung-cancer.com/
this site is well listed on major search engines for the term "Mesothelioma" - a highly competitive term for search engine marketers. The problem is, we feel sure a better design will help us get more people to fill in the forms or call the 800 number..

What we need:
- Two page HTML template that keeps the same text and headings as current.
- CSS and graphics files - including original graphics - so we can make changes at later date.
- Template design that instills confidence in the site as a reliable website. (Blue and Green colors are reputed to do this)
- Form needs to be above the fold.
- Should include a clear call to action - "To get a free mesothelioma information pack sign up now!"
- Should also feature prominently the 800 number to call for more information.

- Can include a button or buttons telling user to click to sign up now - which will pop up a small window containing the same form.
- graphical element should be a middle aged all-American couple or family - working people. They should look like the kind of people who worked hard their whole life and want to enjoy the fruits of their labor - as this is the typical mesothelioma sufferer's profile.

- The medical symbol that is on the site now can be used or removed per your choice.

- The site should fit a 800X600 Screen and be centered for those with larger screens.

- While I usually like very curvy headers with soft colors - I think that a site that should be authoritative and trustworthy may work better if it is more formal and boxy. That said - you are the designers and we will be happy to see your creations either way!

- Important - much of the the target audience is likely to be on dial-up connections - graphics need to be such that they load quickly on a dial-up connection.

We need initial designs by Thursday March 24th! Winner or finalists will be chosen soon thereafter.

I will probably be showing the best designs to large group of regular internet users to get their opinion on which one would be more likely to make them call or fill in a form.

I hope that's enough information for this one! let me know if you have any questions.

Hi again :)
Could you give me some examples of design styles you like? Coz I have some ideas and I'm not sure in which direction I should move.

Hello.
I've made a prior version, it's not finished yet. I just wanted to show you my direction. What do you think? Shall I continue or try something different?

Hi Aliska,

Thanks for your preliminary entry. I think its good. I might experiment with darker blues - if that may make it look more official or solid. I will be passing it along to my colleagues and will get back to you with additional comments asap.

Who else is planning to enter this contest??

regards,
sam.

Hi,

We are extending this contest to let other people enter. Please send your drafts by Monday March 28th if possible!

Aliska, Thanks for the entries! I actually prefer the first one. I think simple will work better at getting people to fill out a form. The first one you sent may be slightly too simple. I think the header section and title of the site are too big and we need some graphic either of a person or something in theat top section.

Luc, Thanks for your entry. I need to get feedback from other people here about your design. I think the header graphic should probably not have someone with a breathing tube since that image while real and relevant, is too disturbing.

For everone, text size has to be 10pt minimum - people cant read tiny text when they are on in years.

Thanks!
sam.

Most of this design is made with background colors and just a little bit of graphics :)

Do you want me to change the header now or should I wait for the feedback first?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay on this contest - it was beyond my control and I thank you for your patience.

We have decided to go with Aliska's latest design.

Thanks to the other designers for your excellent entries.

Aliska - we need to change the doctors graphic to utilize the following one instead - I am not sure if this will work easily - but send us what you come up with:

Thanks again to the other designers for your designs!

Hi Aliska,

I finally found this thread again! I am confused as to why this project is marked as completed when it was never completed!

I assume it was a mistake.

In any case - please let's move forward with teh design in 4.jpg.

We also need a second page.

Thanks for your attention to this!

regards,
sam michelson

Hello :)
Great to see you again
What content do you wanna place on the second page? Shall I remove the form for the page?

Hi,

Actually we do want the form on every page!
The main difference is that the header should be different, smaller, maybe a different color scheme.

thanks,
sam.

Hello
What about the ideas?

For the inside pages I think we should use the same graphic as the home page, but a smaller size and possibly an alternate color.

My client likes the picture he provided so i would rather stick with that one!

Thanks,
sam.

Thanks :)

Hi Aliska,

The first one looks fine. I am happy to recieve the files as soon as you are ready.

I did not realize that you posted these. I am not sure if I did not get notified or if the notification got swallowed up in my inbox.

Thanks for your patience with me!

regards,
sam.
