(Admin code added by Michael - EN6028334)

Prize: $250
Deadline: April 8th (I had originally put the 12th by mistake)

Company Name: Toenges Orthotics & Prosthetics
Domain: www.toengesop.com (not active yet)

This contest is for the homepage design of Prosthetic and Orthotic practice. The client has a site that he really wanted to duplicate, but I convinced him to let me give him some other design options. The owner of the site he wants to dup is actually ok with him duplicating his site, but would rather he had his own unique site.

So, bottom line is that the site needs to be very similar in style and feel, while at the same time having it’s own unique design. HOWEVER, please do not let this cramp your creativity!! Feel free to come up with a great design!!

The site that he likes is http://www.fapoc.com. Attached below is the crappy logo image (sorry, the client can’t seem to get a digital one). I am attaching a PNG and also a PSD.

Colors, Mood, Style: The colors must match the logo. The mood and style need to be very clean and professional. Medical sites need to have a sense of being “sterile”. Very much like the site listed above.

Pages to be included are:

Home
Meet the Practitioners
Orthotics & Prosthetics
Our Services
Locations & Directions
Resource Links

The template needs to be in Photoshop layered format. We need to be able to make changes later if needed. The template does not need to be converted to HTML at this time, but we will pay an additional fee if we feel this is needed.

Thanks to all that enter and good luck. I look forward to seeing some great work!

Hello.
Done with my version. What do you think?

Here are a few things to work on. Overall I like it. I think you did good in making it similar to the other one while letting it be it's own.

1. Anywhere that mentions Findlay American Prosthetic & Orthotic Centre, replace with Toenges Orthotics and Prosthetics.

2. Remove the address entirely. They have 3 locations and the only place I am going to put them is on the Locations page.

3. Use the attached image for the main image.

4. Where it says "Professional Prosthetic and Orthotic Services", I think I would like that left aligned.

5. Also left align the titles for the individiual content boxes, like Our Goal and Service.

6. I like how you separated the content. Do you think you could "jazz up" the titles of them though? Maybe give them more depth.

I think that is it for now. Look forward to seeing the revisions.

Hello.
Do you want to use the image for header or at any place on the page?

Use this for the main image, the big one where you have the address. But with no address of course. ;)

Looks very nice Lilja. The only change I have is anywhere that mentions Findlay American Prosthetic & Orthotic Centre, replace with Toenges Orthotics and Prosthetics.

Thanks.

Thanks for the submissions everyone. They all look great. Just a couple quick changes for the new submissions:

Fabian:

Looks good. Can you take the Terms of Service and Sitemap off the bottom? We won't be using those right now.

KiT10:

I like what you did with the image. However, there are 2 reasons why I am going to have you remove the image of the 2 doctors, and just use the original supplied image. First, the work that this practice engages it doesn't require surgeons or nurses, or even a stethiscope for that matter. So the image doesn't really fit. Second, when the site is done, the main image is going to rotate among 4-5 images whenever the page refreshes. So I need to be able to easily insert on image into that array.

It's neat to see how many different versions of the "same site" can be designed. You guys have all done a great job.

I will start sending these to the client for some "real" feedback.

Thanks for the submission Anne. No changes needed. In fact the client has already looked at it!

He has narrowed his choices down to 3...

Lilja (#14)
Anne (#24)
KiT10 (#23)

Should have a decision later today.

Thanks to everyone for submitting. You all do such great work. :D

And the winner is.....

Lilja (#14). Congrats. Just some minor changes needed. I will post those in a little while.

Thanks to everyone for posting! For those that are curious, I think the deciding factor for the client was the color scheme. They really liked the teal/blue combo.

Ok Lilja, here are a couple easy changes.

1. Move the "Professional Prosthetic & Orthotic Services" header to the top, like in KiT10's design.

2. The client liked how the main content area was laid out in KiT10's design. So just change the main content area to look like that.

That is it. Also, since I didn't specify I needed it coded, how much more to do that. From now on I should say I need it coded. LOL
