We are redesigning our logo, and want to start from scratch. We specialize in building decks and screened porches in the Midwest. 2-3 color, something dynamic, clean, and contemporary. Open to colors and design ideas. Needs to look good on website, business cards, stationary, etc.

Interesting color combination. A similar deck-board layout is being used by a local competitor. Not much into the gold color. Maybe take it in a different direction.?

We are a bunch of redneck, no nonsense, construction guys. We do the absolute best work we can no matter what the cost. Our reputation is for building decks structurally way beyond what city codes require us to. We are fast and of top quality. We try to utilize the newest most cutting edge decking materials for flooring, railing, posts, framing, etc.

I like the ideas. We have a local competitor at www.1stdeck.com who has a similar logo. Could we maybe try something with the font? Maybe with color? Maybe some different browns in the logo?

Castell, I like where you are going with this. Could we see ones with a different font on the name? I like how the figure above the name resembles a "D". Could we have an "ADI"? Also I like that you incorrporated some color into the idea with the browns, I would like to see it with some other color ideas as well.

You have wroked hard and we appreciate it. We like the dark blue color, but are not fond of the tans and browns. Could we please see the 3B logo in a silvery color with the dark blue accent and also the rust color from your original entry with the dark blue accent? This should give us enough info to make our decision.

I hope I'm not overwhelming you here, but I put together a pretty big sampling. All of these use the blue from 4B. I wasn't sure which blue you liked, but even if you're not set on this one yet, you just can focus on the other color for now. I've got the green from 3B, some more tans, some rust, and a few blue-greys. I didn't really have enough space to individually letter these, so just refer to them as "2nd one down on the right". Let me know if anything grabs you :)

Great! I have one more question for you before I get the final files together. Do youo have a preference on how you'd like the black and white version that I'll also be including? You can see you final color selection below along with 2 different ways that I can do the black and white:

I'm more inclined to suggest the all solid black because when you're dealing in B&W, you want to keep it simple. But it could work either way, so let me know if you prefer the solid black or the one with some outlined white.

As soon as you get back to me on that, I'll start preparing the files.
