We are starting our own custom home building company and need a logo that shows trust, excellence and family friendliness. :) Our company name is "Hesson Homes" We would like to have two colors in the logo and would like to maybe have some kind of a play on the two Hs. We also thought that it might be good to have a roof or something but are open to other ideas. We know that the roof thing has probably been overdone. We want something unique to us. We can't wait to see what concepts we get back. Thanks in advance for your hard work.

Tonya,
We really like your concept. We like the colors and the two Hs with the roof to make them look like a house. This one is definitley a possibility. Our main concern is that overall it is too wide. We plan to put the company logo on signs for the front yards and other things down the road. The signs and business cards will be our main usage for now. Any ideas on how to use this same type of concept and make it not so wide?

Skyvee,
I'm sorry to say that your concept wasn't exactly what we were looking for. We aren't fond of the colors and even though the leaning H concept was very interesting we felt it was a little too trendy for us. We'd love to see what else you might have in mind.

Thanks to both of you and we hope we get more ideas to choose from soon. We'd like to have something by May1st at the latest.

Tonya,
We like the more vertical layout. It could also be a possibility. We've really only seen 3 different designs and would like to see what other ideas we get before making any decisions. Do you have any other ideas to send? You don't have to use the H thing is you can think of something else.

Skyvee,
We like your ideas as well. We still want to see what else comes through. Do you have any other ideas also? Also, what would the 2nd concept look like if the Double H house wasn't so tall?

The two grey Hs are supposed to respresent a road, leading you to the home of your dreams. :)

Skyvee-- Thanks for changing the H's and making them not so tall. We think we like that better. That one is a possibility. We are not as crazy about the family holding hands. We like it, but think that it is a little too cutesy.

Asparagus--Thanks for your concept. We understand your concept of the Hs being roads but aren't sold on it. We'd like for something to still stand out and look great even when its in black and white. We'd love to see any other ideas form you and anyone else.

We may need to move up our deadline from May 1st. We'd like to get other ideas soon to consider. :)

Asparagus,
Thanks so much for you idea. It's not quite what we are looking for. It seems to look a little more like a fraternity logo for us.

To all-we'd like to make our decision soon and would like to have as many choices as possible to look at when making our decision. Please send any ideas our way.

We want to say thanks to all of you for all of your hard work and for your concepts. There were certain things that we liked about all of them but we have chosen to work with Tonya. Tonya, we look forward to working with you to finish the process. Thanks again to everyone. :)

Tonya,
We really like both your first and second designs. We are thinking that the first more horizontal sign might be better for letterhead while the more vertical design would be better for signage that would go in the front of the house. Do you have any comments or ideas?

I'm terribly sorry about keeping you waiting! I simply overlooked that you had made a decision. Please accept my apologies.

Since you've had time (while waiting on me!), did you decide which of the 2 layouts you liked better? Personally, I like the vertical layout better. It could certainly be worked into a letterhead design, but you're right that a horizontal layout does work a little easier for that, especially if you want a fairly traditional looking letterhead.

If you find yourself wanting both, I could include the extra layout for an additional $25. If you want to do that, it would probably be best for me to make a font change to one of them because I'd used different fonts for the 2 layouts. That would make them more consistent with each other.

Do you have a preference on the fonts? I could take the font from "Hesson Homes" in the first one and use it in the second one for both words or one word (currently that uses 2 different fonts for "Hesson" and "Homes"). Or I could take the font from "Hesson" in the 2nd one and use it for both words in 1st one. Sorry if this is getting confusing! :) I think it's important that the the fonts for "Hesson" at least be consistent regardless of the layout.

Let me know what you decide on all that. Also, let me know if you need any revisions done.

Thanks for your patience. I promise not to keep you waiting anymore!

Tonya,
No problem at all. I'm glad to hear from you because I wasn't sure if I had chosen the designer properly on the computer and if I needed to do something to alert you. We have had time to think about it and we are definitley leaning toward just the 2nd design. I think it'll be best for signage and we can make it work for letterhead and biz cards. We think one design is probably best for consistancy. You had some good suggestions on the font though. Could we see the 2nd design with maybe the font on the first one and maybe other fonts you think would look great. We like the 2nd one as is, but are wondering how the 1st font would look with it. Also, we don't know how we will need the design as far as what type of file yet. Will we be able to get it in various types so that it'll work for us?

I'll get some samples posted in a little while with different fonts.

About the files: I'll be giving you everything you'll need for print or web use. My standard file package includes Adobe Illustrator .ai, .eps (both of those are vector art), high resolution JPEG and a selection of low resolution GIFs and JPEGs (for web or other screen uses). Everything will be provided in color (both CMYK and Pantone) and in black and white.

If you need any additional formats, just let me know and I'll be sure to include them.

I'll be back in a little while with the font options.

The first 2 use the font from the 1st design (the horizontal layout). I'm not sure if I like that font in this layout because it seems a bit too delicate. From this group, I think my favorite is the 3rd on down on the left side. But, take a look as see what you think.

Tonya,
These all look great. We have had a really long day today and need to look at these when we aren't so tired. We'll get back to you soon to let you know which one we like best. Thanks for all the options! :)

Tonya,
I'm so sorry that it's taken us so long to make a decision. I haven't been feeling very well and things have been crazy around our house. After much discussion, we agree with you. We like the 3rd one down on the left hand side as well. That's our final decision. Let us know how you'd like to send us the files. If you can send them in the mail, we'll give you our address.
