[Project Complete] Logo for Internet Service Provider - $175

GigeNET is a managed internet service provider, specializing in full service web hosting, dedicated server leasing, and enterprise co-location and ip connectivity solutions. We are looking for a logo to be used on our website, business cards, stationary, employee uniforms, and promotional goods.

Please view our site design at http://www.gigenet.com/main.jpg . We'd like a logo that uses the same colors and fits the design, but will also look good as a standalone graphic (ie on a plain white business card). Please go more for a corporate feel with a touch of tech, rather than overly techy/futuristic.

Use your own creativity in the name's format, capitalization is up to you (GigeNet, Gigenet, GIGENET, GigeNET).

Eziey - both submissions are an okay start. They are a little too bland, just words pretty much. Try to add some illustration and make sure to copy it into a screenshot of the site design when you are working on it so you can see if it looks good.

Bill - those are just not working for me, too bold. They kind of look like they were drawn with sharpy markers if you know what I mean. I have seen your portfolio on your website and I know that you can come up with something a bit more creative. Please try another idea.

lonelyrabbit - best submission so far. I like the fonts. Not sure about the cirlcle with the point in it. Can you try to incorporate some sort of illustration behind or within the actual words instead of to the left of them?

artemii - the red is a bit too bright. The font is okay (not great), and the image to the left is kind of weird...is that supposed to be an rj45 head? Please try some other ideas.

I would like to see more input from all designers on the forums...nothing yet has really sparked too much interest. I want to see more creativity than just a nice font.

Hi

This symbol suggests subtle incuts of an uppercase G on a sphere - in hindsight, I think it needs a bit more impact.

Wow...great idea going there, that's what I've been looking for this whole time. The font is perfect. Let's see if you can make the G symbol a little easier to recognize and possibly darken the greys so they are closer to the gray stripe bar on the site.

Another member pointed out Geffen Records to me...I feel my entry is too similar to the Geffen logo so I have created a new symbol.

I'm going to choose your first submission, but make the G in the ball just a little more recognizable. I do not think it looks anything like the Geffen logo, there would be absolutely NO way the two could be confused. Please submit the changes I requested after you posted that first submission and we'll be all set.
