Logo needed for a company offering price conscious travelers reduced rates for cruise cabins/packages via the internet. (Smart Cruisers will offer its cruise inventory solely over the internet.) Logo will be used on the website - would like a color version that also translates easily to b&w. Logo should be bold, lively colors, convey the carefree fun of leisure travel on a foreign or domestic cruise. Demographics skew older: adults 35 to 80, w/ ave 47 years. Over 50% have college degrees. (More females than males given the aging group.) They are smart about spending their discretionary dollars and drive a hard bargain. They often opt for Disney Cruises (with or without children), Caribbean Cruises and domestic cruises.
Would like finished product in jpg.

Here's a quick idea from MOZ

hey MOZ - I like the 'Gilligan's Island' feel of this, although the black and yellow ship and sky feel threatening instead of fun. The ship has battleship overtones too.

Tonya - good bold graphic approach but the blue tones evoke other existing cruise line logos.

Bill - thanks for the color and b & w rendition. Could you make the ship look more cruisey - this rendition feels like a battleship. Would like more primary color in the color graphic.

Here's a different color combination:

Color combo of orange and blue evokes Howard Johnsons' logo. (I know, I worked there when I was a college kid. Or, maybe that was your strategy for the baby boomers!) I would like to see some more color combos. Perhaps green and blue (teal)? Thanks

You're right about the HoJo's colors :D I didn't even think of that. I really like the green and teal combo. Here are a few variations on that:

Thank you Tonya - I think you've nailed it, although it's a toss up between the B & C color schemes.

Not to make the color choice harder on you, but here's another option. This uses the same colors as B and C from the last group, but I've swapped the greens:

By the way, were you officially selecting my design? If so, let me know and I'll move this over to the Revisions Forum in case you need any changes done. Thanks.

can you show me TG#3/C and TG#4/A&B together - those seem to be the ones I keep gravitating toward. How does the final format work? I'd like a color finalist plus black & white in several formats.

Sure, here there are grouped together. 3C and 4A use the same green but a slightly different teal. 3C and 4B use the same teal but a different green.

The final file package will include Adobe Illustrator vector files in .ai and .eps formats, as well as high resolution JPEG and a selection of low resolution GIFs and JPEGs (for web use). Everything will be provided in color (both CMYK and Pantone) and black and white. If you need any additional files formats, just let me know and I'll be sure to include them.

Hey Tonya - I'm going with 3c as my final color choice in addition to the B&W version. The final file package that you indicated is perfect. I've enjoyed working with you. Kage
