[Project Complete] URGENT: $300 – logo for an office cantine

Hi guys,

I need a logo for an office cantine and the time is of the essence.

Price: $300
Deadline: 2005-04-29 (this is the final deadline, but the sooner the better)
Material: AI/EPS

The name of the cantine is “Snella” which means “The Reel/The Spool”. The reason for this is that the cantine is located in a building which used to be a sewing factory. The symbol should be a reel/spool of sewing thread.

Colors available are the ones used on the fabrics hanging from the wire in pic 165 (orange and red preferably) in addition to black and gray.

The logo will be placed in the area marked off in pic 163.

Logo Description:
The Circle represents thread roll (side view) and also an image of a plate (top view)... The needle as a chops stick, obviously.

I would be glad to work on any revisions you will require.

Hi guys,

Thanks for some great contributions guys. Due to time constraints, I will only be commenting on the contributions that the client wants to persue.

Castell
The client likes the symbol, but thinks the font is a little too corporate. Also, there should be no "slogan" or line below "Snella". Finally, the orange shade is a little to brown.

Mark
The symbol seems a little too much like a home, and not like a cantine. Also, the font makes it hard to make out that the text is "Snella" (seems like Shella).

Tonya
Please try a font that's not as bold.

General feedback
No slogan should be used.
The font should not be too corporate.
