Hello DO'rs,

We're a resort & timeshare company -- http://www.exclusivetimeshares.com -- is our latest branded site & it's badly in need of a logo. Note, the current site is just a place-holder -- we'll be using the logo you create as the basis of our new site template (project to be posted on DO next week).

Customer: high-end resort timeshare buyer, 35-55, professional.

I knew we came to the right place! Thanks very much for your efforts... I know you all are busy & hope the comments below help.

Let's see if I can help you rustle up a winner here. Some more specifics after viewing your drafts:

Font:
Serif

Image/Icon:
Subdued & small -- trying not to overpower the text.

Color:
For a sample color palette we loove, see the walls and fixtures (and site colors) of this resort/unit:

We'll be looking to use similar colors on our site redesign...

Specific feedback:

Paula23 -- nice use of block art, but we're looking for something a wee more subdued...

Tyler -- good stuff; compass & sun in particular. The color palette is throwing me off though -- care to try with sample palette above? And, perhaps a smaller image/bigger text?

Artemii -- Font is spot on - perfect. Wonder what this would look like with less abstract art?

Aaron -- Villa art is right on -- nice job. We'd love to see that one with a serif font.

Castell -- Nice work -- font is perfect. Color palette is much closer to what we're looking for. Though, star & house remind me of Texas (I love me some texas bbq) but most of what we sell are big resorts... House a little confusing? Other options?
