Hi, I need to pick a winning design by next Friday, May 6 for
1) a full color presentation folder (specs here: http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/upload/UploadChooseProduct.aspx?pfid=156#details ),
2) Flyer templates that would be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" glossy paper, but later cut to fit the following dimensions:
a) 1 template at the full 8 1/2" x 11" size ("Pricing and Contact Information")
b) 1 template to be cut to 8 1/2" x 10" ("The Company")
c) 1 template to be cut to 8 1/2" x 9" ("Product Highlights")
d) 1 template to be cut to 8 1/2" x 8" ("The Product")
The templates just need to feature border designs or watermarks or whatever you feel looks best for a document that will have the copy added to it later. Adobe Illustrator is the preferred file format, since that's what I'll be using to add text to the flyers. At most, the copy will have about 5 paragraphs per page, with some headings.

The company is a real estate technology company that is launching the newest version of its web-based transaction management system. In preparation for the launch of the new version, the company wants to upgrade EVERYTHING - website, messaging, print collateral (which so far has been mostly homemade), etc.

Additional information about the company is about can be found at www.---.com.

The product is comprehensive, in that it was built to facilitate all aspects of a property transaction's "due diligence" process - it enables users to upload, manage & edits documents of all kinds, track team members' progress, communicate w/ team members using a trackable comment/issue/resolution platform that eliminates the need for spam-riddled emails, provides tools for automatic exporting of lease information into commercial valuation softwares, etc.

Design submissions will hopefully convey the product as the next evolutionary step in real estate technology; a tool that streamlines processes and maximizes productivity; and a system that makes order from chaos -- those kinds of themes.

I will be available as much as humanly possible to reply back to questions, provide feedback, etc., since this is such a tight deadline. I am very excited to see what kinds of great ideas you guys have!

Thanks very much!

Hi ghostwork,

Can you post your logo?

Yes, here you go -- these were originally .png files, which I've resaved as .eps (first one is with a white background; the second file has a transparent background).

I'm still awaiting the original .eps versions from the people who created it and will post as soon as I get it!

Thanks so much for contributing so quickly, Imot! I like the black & grey with the other colors - but would like to see something different from the website's design...as I mentioned above, the website copy is still in flux and what is there now will not be what ends up on the final site.

I should also explain that the website copy will be mostly focused on what differentiates --- from other project management platforms on the market (and with the assumption that the website viewers are those who already know something about --- and are checking out the website for examples of specific features). On the other hand, the print collateral needs to appeal to audiences who don't know anything about the product - therefore, the design & imagery needs to convey the elements I outlined in my first post, and should not focus on the "differentiating factors" featured on the in-production website.

Does that help clarify a bit? I'm happy to provide any additional information you might deem helpful.

Hello ghostwork,
Let me know if this is heading in the right direction. :D

Hi everyone, let me try to clarify further: --- is in the middle of changing its messaging, and with it all its web and print collateral. So rather than using the messaging that ---'s current website features, please use the concepts from above (i.e., "Design submissions will hopefully convey the product as the next evolutionary step in real estate technology; a tool that streamlines processes and maximizes productivity; and a system that makes order from chaos -- those kinds of themes.") in your designs. Rather than positioning --- as a risk management/mistake-reducing type of platform, any text should reflect productivity, progressive tools, etc. etc. If you don't want to attempt a text phrase in your design, just greek any text layouts that you design

Marcusfizner - I like the layout very much, but the largeness of the accent colors makes the design look a little too bright - can you try something with smaller colored graphics & use more black/grey? And, of course the messaging thing.

Thank you!!!

Here is a revised version with a darker feel. I will work on changes to the copy. For now just disregard the type.

Hmm...I don't think that works, since I do want the accent colors to stay the same hue - I just don't want them to be so obvious.

Everyone: The folder can really be pretty simple, since it will not only be used for sales package purposes but also to house "welcome" packages to new subscribers. So there's no real need for a marketing message of any kind if you so choose. I'd like to see some options that evoke feeelings of speed, productivity or advanced (yet simple) technology.

Thank you!!!!

Here's an "official" .eps file...

Also, I've uploaded a couple graphics that have been used in the past to explain the concept behind "---'s" purpose - these might inspire a design or two...
