Hello Professional,

I need a NEW company's logo design. I will use it in website, software startup screen, etc.
My company is selling software (shareware), as the software is still developing, I can't show you any existing stuff. Regarding my software, it is a DVD movie copying software, just like DVDXcopy. In brief, users can clone a DVD movie to a blank DVD-R by using their DVD burner drive. If you still don't understand, you can check this link which got lots of similiar softwares:

Deadline: May 22nd

Image Format: Photoshop7 or Firework MX 2004

Domain Name: www.HomeDVDCopy.com (not exist yet)

Design: As you can see from the company name, I want the users can feel that they can copy their DVDs at home easily. Also, the software belong to multimedia category, so the design should give the users a high-tech, enjoyment, and memorable feeling. I don't like classical design.

Tagline/Slogan: don't have one but open to suggestions. (optional)

Note: After this logo design project is complete, I will open a new website design project on the template forum, so the winner here has a higher chance to be awarded the template design project as well.

I still think that your first design is the best one. :yes: Here are my ideas:

- "Two Discs" above the "Home", add a smile face to both discs. The style is just like your shown logo (LogoGab.com).

- Regarding the tagline, the font type and color look not matching the logo, please modify it accordingly.

The eye, nose and mouth can be a little bit different between two faces... also the color.
White seems making the face look unfriendly and the Nose looks strange as well... ;)

Also the previous design seems to have the sunlight effect from the top left, I want to keep it too.

Besides the color, do you want the face with the hole in CD (nose)? and do you want the second cd winking like last submission?

The CD with nose looks more like a Disc, but this makes the face look strange. Do you have any other suggestion to make the face "look like disc" ?

Minor changes here:
- Large circule (i.e. blue) should be covering the small circule (i.e. green).
- Remove the small duoble circules (i.e. the nose)
- Change the color of eye/mouth instead of white

I see there are 3 formats for each design. When should I use AI and EPS format? When I open them in Illusator, it prompt that opening it in CYMK or RGB mode, what should I choose??

You should use the .ai or .eps when sending the file to a printer or any other service bureau. Select cmyk.

The .ai file is the original Illustrator vector file that was used to create the logo and can be edited by Vector programs such as Illustrator, Corel Draw or Freehand. The eps file is also an Illustrator vector file but can be placed in other programs like Quarkexpress or Indesign for printing.
