Hi Everyone,

We are looking for a new website concept for a home loans business. The output is the front page (Header menu and content) in a layered PSD file only.

The current site can be found at www.dezignhomeloans.com.au. The new site will be converted to a content management system (webEFEKTs) and during the process it was decided to give the website a new look and feel.

Business Name: Dezign Home Loans
Slogan: Simpler, Better, Faster (The slogan needs to be displayed well on site, slogan currently not noticeable on correct design)

A new logo has just been created from the business through designoutpost, see thread http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7237

The project scope is as follows:

Company name: Dezign Home Loans

Company profile: Dezign Home Loans would like to be presented as a professional / corporate business, but with a difference. They would like to be portrayed as a young, funky, fresh business, moving with the times. The product range will be developed by thinking out of the box, not of the norm. There focus will be the customer, with products to suite the customer, the customer’s needs (no more, no less) and at a price they can afford. They will accommodate any need, why, because they can.

Domain name: www.dezignhomeloans.com.au

What is the scope of this project?: To develop a new look and feel for the business. There is no preference at this stage as to a vertical or horizontal menu system. However, if a horizontal menu system is used, would prefer only a single line menu system, (Not double as in current website). The navigation menu items are still under discussion however will be based on current menu items. The site is to be funky e.g. www.greaterfreedom.com.au, but the menu system needs to be based on vertical as in www.golftours.com.au or horizontal as in www.womeninfocus.com.au. The content will be similar to current site. Please feel free to use left, right, top and bottom panels as you feel. A Final output is a layered PSD file. No coding required.

Who is the intended audience?: All home buyers (owner occupiers or investors alike)

Mood or tone?: Words that describe Dezign Home Loans are, accommodating, feature rich, benefits, taylor made, customised. Focus on price and savings in your pocket. A Professional and dynamic business.

Colour psychology?: As per new logo (see attached)

Any dynamic elements?: interest rates, site search, customer site logon / registration.

Who are your main competitors?: www.greaterfreedom.com.au, www.younglandfinance.com.au, www.mortgageandfinance.com.au, www.eaussie.com.au

What resources can you provide?: As per attached files. If the PSD files and fonts are required please let me know.

Websites you like: www.greaterfreedom.com.au, www.eaussie.com.au, www.younglandfinance.com.au

Closing Date: 31 May 2005,

Thank-you in advance to all that are going to enter

Let me know if you need any clarification

Hi Aliska,

Thank-you very much for your entries. I will take these entries to my client for comment and get back to you with feedback ASAP.

Personally, I think your first entry is absolutely excellent, and think this design is what the client will be looking for. However, I have been wrong before, so please be patient until I have further feedback for you from the client.

One comment though, our client did emphasize the fact that he would like the website to have a strong focus on the slogan and feel that in the first option the slogan might be a little too subtle.

Thank-you again and will get back to you soon

Hi,

I am not yet finished with my design, but since you are meeting the client tomorrow, I want to make sure you knew I was working on something... I did not post that I was "IN" as I just decided on a design about two hours ago :)

Let me know if I should further develop :)

Hi Everyone and thank-you for your patience.

I have just completed my meeting with the client and he has been blown away by all the entries (and thank-you lori for your concept which was included in our discussions) so thank-you to everyone who has contributed.

After much discussion, he has expressed very strong interest in the 1st contribution from Aliska. There is only one change that he has requested and that is in this submission. Aliska, I have tried to show the changes in a marked up version of the entry. He would like a logon included below the left menu, the MIAA logo included as indicated and the inserest rates included. I will post a Updated MIAA logo for you to use, he would like to include the MIAA Full Membership logo

At this stage, there are no other recommended changes to any other designs so will leave it there. However, a big thank-you to everyone for there efforts and all your entries and submissions are HUGELY appreciated.

One comment though, our client did emphasize the fact that he would like the website to have a strong focus on the slogan and feel that in the first option the slogan might be a little too subtle.

Hi Aliska,

Thank-you for the changes. I wouldn't want to take up any more of your valuable time in being petty, I will have a chat to my client (who may request more changes) so would it be possilble to get all three in PSD and then will call it a day... any other changes can be made by us.

Thank-you again
