[Project Complete] W101 Headers (Prize: $250 / Deadline: 21st June 2005)

Hey all,

I would like some headers designed to go with a new template I have. I'm just looking for something simple to indicate different areas within the site.

Prize: $250 (thats for all 5 headers...they're small! :P)

Company name: Wrestling 101
The current (old) website can be seen here (http://www.wrestling101.com/101/).

Company profile: Pro Wrestling content site with its main focus being its hundreds of articles.

What I need: PSD files of the headers

What I want:

I would like headers for:

- Default
For general pages (including the index page)
- UK Scene
Covers the UK wrestling scene
- US Scene
Covers the US wrestling scene
- International & MMA Scene
Covers the Japanese wrestling scene as well as mixed martial arts from the US and Japan
- Video Games
Covers wrestling video games

The size is not very big...so it shouldnt require too much time (see Resources text below). I think the best way to work is if you work on one or two of the above headers, and I'll pick a winner that way.

I've been thinking for months what I could use - but I'm stuck! So I'm open to anything - could be something generic to indicate the different areas, could be cartoons/illustrations - anything!

The only thing I will say is I want the left side of the header (with the logo) to remain as the main focus, so what you do shouldnt take the attention away from it.

It should obviously fit in with the rest of the template also :)

Intended audience: Mainly male, late teens and early twenties.

Mood or tone: I want it to look professional but still attractive to its target audience.

Please note: The header is split into two images (index_14 and index_15) - you only need to make the index_15 part of the header.

Yeah thats it - could you remove the background image of the ring (I dont want that kept at all). Also could you move the text more into the middle of that space.

Hi,

I like the Int/MMA header...not too keen on the Video Games one.

For the Int/MMA header could you remove the text and make the image abit bigger - so it fits better in that space? I just want to see it without the text to see how it would compare.

For the video games one I would prefer a different image - maybe a joypad, screen, controller or console...I'm not sure what! :)

Christian - I like the font used and the background but am not sure about the controller image, just doesnt look right to me.

graphixparanoid - I prefer these to the others, I cant think of anymore changes to make at the moment :)

jestrada - To be totally honest, I dont like it. If you just had the American flag bit in there, but bigger that would look better...I dont like all that red.

Apologies for the late reply, it took alittle longer then expected getting all the feedback in.

After much discussion we've decided to go with Christians designs, thanks to everyone else who entered :tup:

Christian - Before you do the other headers, would it be possible for you to send me one of those so that I can use it in a test page? I want to make sure they look OK with the rest of the layout/colours on the page. I thought it would be better to make sure they're ok now before you do the others.
