[Project Complete] $250 Pregnancy Announcement

I need a fun way to announce to my friends and family that my wife is pregnant. We've been resisting it for a while, and no one is going to expect it.

Here's my idea:

An illustration, based on the theme of "things you thought you would never see". At the top, it would say "Things you thought you would never see". Below, it would have three panels, "Hell Freezing Over", "Pigs Flying" and "Charlotte Pregnant". At the bottom, it would say "December 2005"

I'm hoping to announce by this weekend (June 4).

Im glad to help. My idea is a cartooney and fun. What size and printing specs do you need? i.e. full colours, with folding, front and back lay-out ..etc... Are you going to print it on your personal printer (desktop)?

I'm thinking that this would be a GIF or JPG that I email to people. It should be at least 400 pixels wide x 600 pixels tall. It should be in color.

This is great! I like where this is going, and I really like the Flash version. A couple of comments on the flash:

Can you add the text and the image together on the same page?

Change the final text from "December 2005" to "Baby Due December 2005"

If it's not too much trouble, can the pig actually fly into the frame?

I like the devil and pig images a lot. The Charlotte image is great, but doesn't look that much like her. Can you do something else that doesn't show her face, perhaps?

To be honest, I wasn't planning on animating as the project is for illustrations. I presented the Flash idea, so that the "big surprise" wouldn't be given away until the "end".
I can however make the pig sort of "swoop" in, if that's agreeable.

I can do that. :) I understand "my" Charlotte is a little stylized.

As the client, I disagree. The joke is much better when the punch line is revealed as a surprise. I think it's fine for a designer to help the client enhance his vision for the project.
