Project Description: MMORPG Philippines is gearing up to be the premier Website destination for MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) Players in the Philippines.
This is for the website template of MMORPG.PH, the Logo was just chosen in the Logo forum. We'll be using Mark's logo for this. I basically want 2 templates, not too much different in design, just in layout and some specifics. For the frontpage, I want it much like MMORPG.com or OGaming where theres a place for news, features, game ratings, etc. For the subsites I like the OGaming subsites eg: http://matrix.ogaming.com/ - Simple in design, header, 2 side menu, content areas, but I would like it so its easy to change the color of each subsite, so if possible use flat colors and CSS and not much graphics. Like each subsite could use the same header as the index page, and just have the content areas be different.
Anyway to explain it simple:
Template #1: Frontpage - MMORPG.com style
Template #2: Subdomain pages - http://matrix.ogaming.com/ Style

The only thing about MMORPG.com is its too graphical and dark, and ridden with ads.

Hope to have lots of designs to choose from :)

yep :) Nice to meet another Filipino web designer, and I had a look at your portfolio and I must say it is top class, really impressive :) Though I'm not so good in graphic design, I'm better at web programming, that's why I use D/O for designs :)

Lalit - Thank you for being the first to enter and thank you for a wonderful entry :) Its very nice and I really like the positioning of content, first my eyes see the featured games which would be the subsites, then I see the featured articles and news, then forum discussion, and an upcoming list. Login is in the right place and search is too. Really awesome :)

My only qualm is that it feels too squeezed in, like 10 blocks were put together to fit the design. Sometimes if info is too close together it can overwhelm the user, maybe a bit of spacing :)

Thanks for the feedback kzap. To make it look less conjested, I removed some of the txt from the news section and also made the width smaller of the whole left section. This allowed me to increase the size of the middle content.

I think it does look alot less conjested. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to improve it. :)

hmm it still feels cramped, i think it would be better if there was space between the boxes or if the borders didnt touch, maybe some kind of gradient fade in fadeout borders so the backgrounds blend?

now if the right side of the header bg of 'Upcoming MMORPGs' and 'Latest News' could be rounded at the corners. Also if more space could be given between the center area and the right area mostly near 'Search' and 'Recent Poll' and the left 'Imperator Combat Preview'.

awesome, awesome. Now that is great for a main page, but lets say I have an article with images. I would want to wipe out the 3 columns and put in the article there, could i see a view of that :) This will prove very interesting to cutup without tables :)

That will not fit within the design. However, you could put it above the login section (see attached file).
