I need a template for website. This website is for selling a ftp client (shareware software).

Product name: UniversalFTP Standart.

Domain name: www.universalftp.com

What is the scope of this project?: New site

Who is the intended audience?: web developers, web designers.

Mood or tone?: Professional, simple.

Additional information:
1) Under a list of benefits place buttons: "BUY NOW", "READ MORE" and "DOWNLOAD". The buttons should stand out.
Above the list of benefits write name of program: "UniversalFTP Standart 1.0". On the left place a box (dvd-box). (Example: http://www.winzip.com/)

2) In a left column write a menu:

We had only logo. You can suggest color, etc.

your products or services:
On the site www.universalftp.com we are going to sell software product. On this site we are going to sell only one product. It's the ftp-client which can transfer files and search on one or more ftp-servers. It can find updates on ftp-servers too.

1f) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach
with your site?
Our target are new users which begin to create ftp-site. UniversalFTP has intitive and attractive interface. I hope that ever man wich work with ftp in first time can upload files to a site.

http://www.paltalk.com/PalTalkSite/ - harmonious site. On first page not very much information. User read key features. If it's intresting for him then he'll read additional information.

http://www.nero.com/eng/index.html - Major information stands out(name of product and buttons). Wide white borders around of section "THE Highlights" emphasize major information.

2Lus: I suggest try to change color for "BENEFITS" to white(as other text). Buttons with flags better place above button "contact us". Can you suggest other buttons for "buy now", "read more" and "download". May be better make bold font for words in menu on the left?

Can you try to use colors from logo for buttons(instead gray)?

I edited that last picture. (too much pictures in a thread won't do any good)

in the bottom you can see different versions.

The problem with these buttons is, that IF it fits in design and has similar colors to the logo - it doesn't stand out.
The thing what makes these buttons stand out - is the very fact that they are different from everything else.
(so you see i can't really use colors from the site because it would make them disappear)

I can always make these buttons all over , with different shape etc. of course, If needed. :)
