Hi Everyone,

We are looking for a new website concept for a home loans business.. The output is the front page (Header menu and content) in a layered PSD file only.

There is no current website for this business, this is a new business with a new website. The site will run on the webEFEKTs content management system..

Business Name: Abstract Home Loans
Slogan: How can we help you?

A new logo has just been created from the business through designoutpost, see thread http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7675 and the winner was eziey 4 and 5 (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=154324&postcount=11) I have also attached the file to this post for easy reference. Once I have the logo from this competition, I will post larger resolution image for you to use.

The project scope is as follows:

Company name: Abstract Home Loans

Company profile: Abstract Home Loans would like to be presented as a professional / corporate business, but with a difference. They will be predominantly branded to sell home loans through mortgage brokers. They would like to be portrayed as "Thinking about of the box", as the name implies "Abstract", changing with the times, accommodating and flexible. The product range will be developed by thinking out of the box, not of the norm. There focus will be the customer, with products to suite the customer, the customer’s needs (no more, no less) and at a price they can afford. They will accommodate any need, why, because they can.

Domain name: www.abstracthomeloans.com.au

What is the scope of this project?: To develop a new look and feel for the business. There is no preference at this stage as to a vertical or horizontal menu system. The navigation menu items are still under discussion however will be based on menu items and indicated in www.designhomeloans.com.au. The site is to be funky e.g. www.greaterfreedom.com.au. Please feel free to use left, right, top and bottom panels as you feel. A Final output is a layered PSD file. No coding required.

Who is the intended audience?: All home buyers (mortgage brokers, owner occupiers or investors alike)

Mood or tone?: Our client would like to emphasise the word ABSTRACT, so please use this design of the website with a play on the word ABSTRACT and the literal meaning of it. Words that describe Abstract Home Loans are, accommodating, feature rich, benefits, Taylor made, customised, ABSTRACT. Focus on price and savings in your pocket.

Colour psychology?: As per new logo (will post high res image soon.)

Any dynamic elements?: interest rates, site search, customer site logon / registration.

Competition: http://i22.wwwoz.com; www.greaterfreedom.com.au, www.younglandfinance.com.au, www.mortgageandfinance.com.au, www.eaussie.com.au

What resources can you provide?: Logo will be attached soon.

Websites you like: http://i22.wwwoz.com, www.greaterfreedom.com.au, www.eaussie.com.au, www.younglandfinance.com.au

Closing Date: 29 June 2005,

Thank-you in advance to all that are going to enter

Let me know if you need any clarification

Hello Tibof
One more question. You've pointed that you need menu items like at www.designhomeloans.com.au. But I have problems with the site - I can't open it. Could you place here names for menu items?

Hi Everyone,

A special thank-you Aliska and Anne for your submissions, they are extremely appreciated.

Both submissions are excellent and I don't have any comments at this stage. I will be having a meeting with my client on Thursday morning and we will discuss the entries then.

If there are any more entries expected, could we please have then submitted before my meeting on Thursday as we would like to finalise this competition then.

Thank-you to one and all.

Hi Everyone,

Thank-you so much for all the entries, the customer was very impressed (as always) with the quality of competition entries.

After much discussion a winner has finally been selected, so a big congratulations to :D Aliska :D. Thank-you Alsika and well done.

Aliska, could we please move the competition to the revisions forum for some minor changes. Some of the changes requested are:
1. Please remove "Abstract home loans" from over the image header of the lounge.
2. Could you please give us some more options on the slogan "how can we help you?"
3. With the image on the left, could you make the menu more rounded with the design? The customer feels as if the left menu is too square and doesn't fit with the "round" design of the site.
4. The rates box in the bottom left, could you please redesign the box to fit more with the design of the website (customer want something not so plain)

Thank-you

Anne
