Need a quick logo for a Tool company. Here are the details:

Company is called Tool Experts. They are a catalog seller of home inpection tools such as meters, gauges, ladders, flashlights, etc. Company name is a bit misleading, they do not sell things like saws, drills, wrenches, etc.

No limit to color choices. They have used a character (see below) on some of their catalogs, which can but doesn't have to be integrated ito the logo.You can also modify or update the character as you feel.

Final logo will be selected on July 13. Looking forward to the entries.

Here's one--I've used a miner's hat on "Homer's" head because home inspectors spend a lot of time in dark places--basements, attics, etc. His eyes are the o's of tool.

Sorry for the delay, but my client has been in the process of relocating his business and is now just getting around to making some decisions on the new logo. He really likes yours, but would like to see some revisions to the initial concept. Possibly make it a bit more bold (it will be used for catalog front cover title, in addition to other applications) and maybe try a revision of incorporating "homer" in place of the "miner" character.
