Crime-Guard

Hello, (Admin code added by Palmer - 2705340)
I need a logo for our site; Crime-Guard.com (http://www.crime-guard.com). To this day the only thing my artistic ability allows is a "text" logo.
1) What I need is a logo along with the name: Crime-Guard.com
2) And to incorporate somewhere in the design: Self Defense & Security
For colors: Dark Blue (Navy), Light Blue, Gray & White are the current site colors. Please view the site for your determination of these colors. If possible it would be good to have a logo which may go with other colors also, but these are the main colors for now.
The items we sell are related to self defense & security. Such as pepper sprays, stun guns, alarms, etc. It is hard to describe what the logo should be of or look like... I don't like the swooshes with just the site name, I feel that they really don't define a company or what they do. I'll have more suggestions as some examples are made to help in the design process. For now it's really open to anything. Hope I provided enough information.
The logo will be used on the website, business cards, letterhead, etc. Also must be resizable with out distortions, I didn't know if this involved extra steps or effort on your part.
Contest Prize: $85
Deadline to be: July 1st
Thanks,
Eddie

Hang on there Fred. Read this (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=35&s=) first. :) It can take 2 weeks to 2 months to be invited if your portfolio is acceptable.

Hello everyone,
I like both of your design ideas, and have a few suggestions.
Sparkie: Nice & simple design, though I think we need a logo which stands out alittle more. May limit the colors to 2 or 3 just to make flow better. So if you could change some colors or if you have other ideas that would be great.
Ed: Interesting designs, I like the second and last of your designs. One thing was if the two center logos between Crime____Guard showed that our address is Crime-Guard.com that well. A different company owns crimeguard.com, it is without the hyphen. Tell me what you think or if you have other ideas or suggestions. But I really like those two already.
Hope this helps describe what I want alittle better.

Hello,
Ed - I like your first of the second revisions, though it may be too tall to fit into the space on our site...??? But I think your last one #4 is so far the one I like the most. If you have any other ideas please present them, before starting this "contest" I was thinking of the badge being incorporated into the logo so that is good that you have incorporated this also in your designs.
One other question, would there be anything you could come up that would include flashing lights (red & blue) such as a police car would have into the logo design? This would be a seperate idea than from your other designs.
Also if anyone else has any design ideas, please post them as the contest doesnt end until July 1st!!
Thanks Again,
Eddie

Our contest is still running until July 1st, so any new design ideas are still welcome!!
At the moment, Ed has our choice with his designs with the first and third in his last post.
FTIGraphix - Different idea on our logo, also like how you showed a preview of our site and different color variations. I also like the text part, but the logo is'nt really what I was think of. If you have other thoughts on the logo that would be great.
Thanks,
Eddie

Hi everyone,
Martin - Your design has a unique appeal, such as the font used in our name. I was wondering if you had any ideas as to an image that could be included in your design?? Your color combinations also work well with each other, good to see how different the same design changes with other colors.
RadicalSEED - Interesting approach from my somewhat veage description of what we need in our logo, i like the text though the logo image is'nt quite what were thinking of. Any other ideas would be great...
Thanks to everyone for their ideas on our contest... all entries have shown the talent of all of you on this site.

I added a target to the logo....this can be changed to any colours you want.
i didn't go for any of the gimmicky logo's as I think the font used combined with the colours and the subtle target effect looks nice and professional. let me know what you think.
