Hi Everyone,
We are launching a new service and require a site design for it. The site is for visitors to buy, sell and track there online marketing (banners, text links, etc). We only require a PSD file with the files (no html or slicing required).
----------------------
THEME
----------------------
We like clean and easy to use sites that are user centric. Our goal is to have a professional look for our new site.
Our target customer is both male and female between 25-40. The majority are small business owners and web designers.
----------------------
SITE INFORMATION
----------------------
Main Colors:
#BCEA00
#5F5F5F
(feel free to use other colors that compliment these)
Site Name:
http://marketinghunter.com
Marketing Hunter
Tag Line:
buy, sell and track online marketing
Must haves:
It must have the menu at the top with these options:
Home
Buy
Sell
Track
About
Contact
The menu must be able to be the same on every page of the site.
It should incorporate our company name and tag line. It must have on the page the 3 separate things they can do:
Buy
Sell
Track
For each of these we would provide a bit of a description as to what they do and who should click there.
I would also to see a place for the following:
customer login
product tour
current news
testimonials
----------------------
MORE INFORMATION
----------------------
I like the clean feel of ClickTrack's (http://www.clicktracks.com) site.
I like the like the clean feel of Urchin's (http://www.urchin.com/) site.
I like the clean feel of the Deepmatrix's (http://www.deepmetrix.com/) site.

Aliska,
Sorry we do not have a logo for this site yet. We have not decided on the direction for a logo yet so instead of stalling the design we figured we would make one later.
Severner,
I like this design but here are some suggestions. 1,2,3 needs to be punched out so that it draws the user to click on them. Nothing to punched out so that it looks gawdy. The colours of the site structure seem to be too washed out is there any way to make it a bit more bold for this design. The software boxes are not what we had in mind we prefer pictures of smiling happy people if anything. Of the variations I like 2_1.jpg the best.

Hi,
I didn't change the DVD/progam box thing Yet.
you can see a version Without the box here:
http://www.diip.co.uk/temp/marketing/2_new_nopics.jpg
I'm searching for some nice photos but i'm not sure if any will fit there.
If You have some ideas about what to put there at the moment, I would be glad to make the changes.

Severner,
This is a photo style we were looking at:

Hi,
Sorry- didn't YET put in any photos.
wanted to make sure if you liked the idea- a black box in the center.
notice how this black box gives a little bit of professional look.
something stylish like Black Macintosh.
It fit's with the logo.
My idea is to put some photos with round-half-corners (like those 1,2,3 boxes were). and some text on the right side.
OR some projects. (like those 1,2,3 were) only, that this kind of black box needs some vector-cartoonish-people.
something like on the http://www.clicktracks.com site.
with blue shiny hats etc etc.
any ideas? :),

I do like the black box. The 1, 2, 3 are going to be:
Buy
Sell
Track
Each with a little tiny bit of text to explain what that means. The main area we would like to entice the user to click or read more. The main text we would like there is "Are you a marketing hunter?" So a faceless person with maybe one of those african hunting hats on might work.
Here's a start from me.
I still think the design is lacking something but I don't know what ... yet. I think I have to let it rest for a day or so and see if I can come up with something a bit more exiting :)

Anne,
Great start I have a few suggestions. The login should be taken out of the header and moved down somewhere in the site. Can we have the header go from the green to fade to some abstract picture in the header. The menu bar seems a little simple can we try something different, I'm just not feeling the menu. The buy, sell and track boxes look good can we take out the numbers and apply a similar style to our site (www.monsterhosting.ca) to the boxes with the header saying Buy, Sell and Track. A picture underneath of happy business people and the text as is with a find out more at the bottom. The picture of the man with binoculars looks like a life guard and not the direction we were thinking. Could you find another picture it does not have to be with binoculars it just needs to be corporate looking and fit in the design. Another idea might be to have a picture of a man that is black and white with a greenish tie like the main colour.
Sorry lots of feedback on this but I do like the initial concept.
Hi
Here is my first draft.I am looking forward for your coments and ideas.
Thanks

Pod,
Thank you for the great submission. Here are some changes:
On the header can we make it so that it goes from left to right fading from green to an abstract image. The menu looks okay but can you come up with another idea for this area and make the text not as predominant. I like the bulls eye main area this looks good. I like the buy, sell and track area, instead of having more buttons can we make the bottom of the shape be the button (see our site for what I mean www.monsterhosting.ca). The don't miss area looks good but I am not keen on the checkmarks maybe some other type of bullet would work. Can we make the arrow the same green as the main header green? The customer login area just needs to fix the login button over the other button. The footer needs smaller fonts and the same style as our site (same link as above).
Thanks
Gary
