Hi all, we require a redesign of our current website http://www.lanmark.co.uk. We have just had our logo redesigned and will would like to be incorporate its freshness into our new site. http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7999

We are an established IT consultancy and support services company based in the UK.

We require a website that is professional and polished but has more of a product feel about it rather than the current plain informational website. Something that we would like to show is our experience and expertise.

As I said we are an IT company and therefore the design needs to reflect this but does not need to shout this out by having images of PC’s or laptops etc…

The intended audience for our website will be senior management and office managers generally looking for IT support services, specific consultancy e.g. security audits, so the site needs to be easy to navigate and find our products and services.

Psychology?: The site needs to look like a business services company and not a PC warehouse and it must be immediately clear to our audience that this is a professional outfit who provide services specifically in IT.

We will have quite a large number of pages and require an easy to use menu navigation system.

We would also like to have our phone number and email request for information or callback on every page so that its really easy for prople to be able to contact us. (0845 053 8000)

We require you to design the Homepage and a standard product page. Different pages for About us and Contact sdetails would be good.

Could you list some high quality sites that you like the look of and some cometitor's sites?
Do you want stock images using or something more abstract?

There really are not many high quality sites about. If you search for IT support services in UK Google (www.google.co.uk). Make sure you select search pages within UK. I guess the only one that stands out is www.itlab.com which does show a sort of idea particularly in getting their number and contact details across. The rest of the ones on the sponspered links are pretty awful. So a good oppotunity to impress with your designs. Stock images are fine, but abstract may be nice. Hope this helps.

Hi Aliska, we feel that your design is far to colourful and bright and does not reflect a professional outfit.

Hi Pod, we like your initial design but we have a few comments. The words on the menu bar at the top need to be separated and maybe a different background colour. Also the blue flash part we feel takes up to much room and the hot topic buttons below do not stand out enough. Look forward to your thoughts. Cheers.

Hi, I was working on my previous concept when this idea came to my mind. It's a very simple & ordered concept but I wanted to show it to you just in the case you want to have it into consideration. I am still working on my other concept so expect it to be ready between today & tomorrow :D

Ok, here is the new idea. I like this one a lot more than my previous ones, so I am confident it expresses a powerfull yet stilish concept :D Notice that in the top banner I added the four sections plus the main menu, my idea is that when you pass the mouse over the sections they grow like "security solutions" showing the posibility of entering that link.

Here is an entry from me. I only used shapes from your logo to add interest to the design so that the wrong message isn't sent with incorrect or inappropriate photos.

I used simple, clean lines and a easy menu for fast navigation.

Hi Pod, we think the second design is better, however we would like the Hot topics to be emphasized more using different colours or bolder. We are trying to get the audience to be able to easily see all the links without having to look around the site for them.

Anne, many thanks for your submission which we thought was of a high quality. Can we see what your main submission would be like with the forest graphic from lanmark_v4.
We feel that our logo is too big and needs to be downsized to a similar size as Pod's submission. Can we also ask if the 4 hot topic button could stand out a bit more, maybe by having a border or if they were to look like buttons or something like that?

SKR, we thought you design was clean but felt that the graphic let it down and we would prefer something along the lines of what Anne has produced. Again I think we would like our hot topics to stand out and draw the audience to click their. We did really like you bar at the bottom which made it easy for customers to call or email us.

Hi Anne, thanks for the resubmission. On the hot topics we actually preferred your first ideas; I know clients can be stupid. Our only other comment would be to make the contact details stand out more.

Hi Sarah, on the sub pages we would like to retain the easy to find contact details. We require a page header with text beneath it. On the right hand side we would like to have related products/documents. For example if we were in the Blackberry page we would like to have 3 - 4 boxes to the right with summary text and link, similar to ITLAB http://www.itlab.co.uk sub pages but more symetrical and cleaner.
