Hi - I am looking at designing a postcard for my company. I have started on a rough layout, but I decided (from looking at what you guys have done for other people), I do not need to be in the designing business.

The postcard I started is called "Fall 2005 TerraSeeding Postcard.pdf". I think need to change the description text (on the left side) to the back. Feel free to change anything you see - I do not want to dictate you guys. I attached some before/after pictures also for you to play with, plus a couple of other brochures I have made in the past to give you guys a better description of what I am selling. Also, I went ahead and attached a Corel Draw version of my logo.

Again, I am looking for something fresh and professional - different than what I have done in the past. If anybody needs more information, please let me know. Also, I can send higher quality images if need be once somebody tells me how.

[Moderator Edit] Your logo was converted from CorelDraw V.10 to CorelDraw v.8, Illustrator v.8 and EPS. The new zip file has replaced your other zip file. [Moderator Edit]

Below are a couple of links for the pictures I mentioned:

http://www.link2files.com/up/filesdir/michael/jckelton01.zip
http://www.link2files.com/up/filesdir/michael/jckelton02.zip

The second file has some TIF pictures, but for some reason, the .tif extension is not there. I didn't realize it until Michael mentioned it to me. Just manually add the extenstion and that should work.

Thanks to Michael for helping me with these.

jckelton,

Can you upload the jckelton02.zip again with jpg file extension? I cannot open them even when I add the extension.

Thanks,
Shima Patel

Also can we get an eps of the logo. I don't use corel draw.

:)

Thanks!

Attached below should be the files in jpg format. I'm not sure how to convert the corel draw to eps - I can try another format if you want, or if anyone out there can convert it I would appreciate it.

Just thought I would drop another line - I only have a few more days left and I have not had any proposed designs yet.

Elkootcho,
Thanks for the entry. I like the grass on the main side, but I think I would like to have the before/after pictures on the main side also. I think that is what grabs peoples attention (before/after shots).

Designers,

I have made the logos posted compatible with CorelDraw v.8 and also included an Illustrator and EPS version.

Shima, thanks for the notice. I am sure I'll have other projects in the future we may be able to work on.

Elkootcho,
I think I like the next to last one best - I like using a "green" color, since what we are marketing deals with making the grass greener and more lush. Sorry it's taken a little while to get back with you - my wife had carpel tunnel surgery yesterday on her wrist and I haven't been able to get on the computer since then.

Sounds good. I hope all in well with your wife. I have firsthand knowledge of how spousal medical issues can be.

So the design shown in message 19 is the one. Do you have any changes that you'd like to see before I finalize the file and get it ready for your to download?

Can you substitute "gs486ae.jpg" for the top lawn picture on the backside? I think that picture really shows a good schematic of what we do upclose. Other than that, I do not see any reason to change anything. What formats can you export out to? I have Quark 5.0, Adobe InDesign 2.0, and MacroMedia FreeHand XMA myself.

How do I go about officially awarding you the prize money?

Right now the postcard is in photoshop and I will deliver a PDF if that is ok with you. The admins will pass on the design fee.
