Design Team Application Question

I hate to hurt people's feelings so no, I won't send a rejection letter. If you don't hear from me though, it doesn't mean you were rejected. It really does take a while to get on the team. The most recent invitations were sent to designers that applied April 1st and one that applied April 9th.

Thank you, that does help because I'm in the process of building my portfolio site. I know I've got what it takes to compete here, I just need to settle on a site design that will convey that well enough. :)

I know this thread is kinda old, but i have a question and didnt want to start a whole new thread. Well i applied a couple weeks ago and was wondering if you guys sent the acceptance letters and i didnt get in or if you guys havent sent them yet. I have alot of free time on my hands and would really like to work on some of the contests.

Oh and maybe a suggestion, have a sticky thread that says when you guys accepted people so instead of making people feel bad by telling them they didnt get accepted they can find out for themselves instead of waiting around to get accepted when they were already rejected.

Hi Mario,
Applications are reviewed by me personally and no one else. Invitations are sent when I feel we have a need for more designers to fill the demand. There is no set limit to how long time must go by before assuming you have been rejected. I have invited designers that have applied several months ago. I save every application and look through them when it's time to send invitations.

After looking at your portfolio (http://ethics.dark-alliance.com/) it still doesn't have enough samples of what we have contests here for. I saw some very nice conceptual art but I couldn't find any logos and the templates were ok but nothing really stood out.

We mostly sign up designers that are currently employed as graphic designers whether as freelancers or employed by firms in the graphic design business.

I get dozens of applications a week but only 1 or 2 out of a hundred make it on the Design Team. Feel free to contact me and I'll give you a resource where you can help build your portfolio.
