I need a logo created for a company called “Web Financial Marketing”.
The company offers email newsletters and websites for financial advisors to send to their clients. The URL is www.webfinancialmarketing.com (http://www.webfinancialmarketing.com/) (not live) and I use a tagline of “Innovators in Internet Marketing”.
I want to convey an image of professionalism rather than having something that looks techie or cute.
Thank you and good luck!

Taldo,
Thanks for the entry. Below are my comments:
1. I'm not sure what I think about the graphic, it is different, but I'm trying to think of what it represents.
2. I'd like to see the tagline "Innovators in Internet Marketing" in the design somewhere.
3. I think the grey color for the font is not a good idea as it blends into the background too much.
I do like the italics and the font for "Web Financial".

Thanks for the comments! The icon represents worldwide marketing..getting the message out all around the world.
I will work on the revisions for you.. :)

Thanks for the update.
I think that Web Financial should be on a separate line than Marketing. Like this:
Web Financial
Marketing
Innovators in Internet Marketing
I think that the height of all three lines of text should equal the high of the 'globe'.
Can you also try a couple other fonts? I originally wanted a Sans Serif font, but didn't mention it. I like the font you choose, but I'd be curious to see what it would look like changed.
And finally, I think just the globe is a little plain. Perhaps a swoosh or something, somewhere, would sharpen it up. ;)
Thanks again.

ALL THREE PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING AT THIS CONTEST... ;)
I like the logo for Walden University:
http://www.waldenu.edu
Try this style "Web Financial Markeing" in big and "Innovators in Internet Marketing" as the smaller text.
I'd like a graphic to accompany the text. I'm open to this.
A globe is a good idea, something with a swoosh I always like, anything interesting really. ;)

These are looking good.
1. I would lose the drop shadow
2. Move the text up so that it is aligned with the top of the ball
3. The "Innovators" text is too small, maybe try mixed case to make it more readable
4. Try a space between Web and Financial
5. Try left justifying the text
Thanks!

Paula,
THank you for your entries.
I'm not sure I like the logo image that you created, I understand what it represents, however, I am trying to go for a coprorate look rather than a technical look. This definitely looks techie.
Of the two entries, I like the second (#16) with the fonts taht you choose. I don't like how "Marketing" is reverse highlighted though.
Thanks!

Kassi,
I like the image that you put together, specifically the boxes behind the globe.
I like the fonts, but I don't like the marketing being reverse highlighted.
I perfer to have a long font rather than a square of high font. In other words, I think I would rather see the globe on the left of the text, and the text left justified.
It would be interesting to see how the logo would look with the little squares exented somehow through the background of the text. I don't know if this will be too much cluter, but it may be good if it looked like a vapor trail from the planet.
Just a thought.
Thanks!

Hi Jason,
Here is the logo in a horizontal perspective (version 2A with the arrow point, version 2B without the arrow point).
I tried your idea of placing other squares within the text, but it did seem a bit too cluttered for a logo ... However, that idea might work nicely to compliment business cards, letterhead, or even web banner (incorporating squares throughout the overall design). That's just a suggestion of course, if you'd still like to see the logo with the addition of more squares, I can try again.
Comments welcome.

Kassi,
Can I ask you to do a couple more things?
1. Left justify the text. I'd like to see it all with equal length instead of wrapping around the globe.
2. Try a couple different colors besides the blue.
Thanks a bunch.

Hi Jason,
I left justified the text as requested and have included some different colour combinations for you to consider. Do you have a preference as to whether you like the swoosh with or without the arrow point?
Thanks again!
Kassi :)

Kassi,
Great choices. Thank you.
We like the swoosh without the arrow head.
The only thing that is still bugging me is the text alignment on the right. I think it is becasue the W points SE, the M points SW and the I points NE.
Is there a Sans Serif font that we can use for Marketing that has the sides of the M parallel to each other (not-slopped).
And perhaps if we take the Italics off of the tagline, it would also help.
Pick one color to work with (3E is fine), use only the logo without the arrowhead, and don't worry about the B/W copy.
Thanks again.

Jason,
Here are a few variations of text layout:
Version 4a: Original layout with italics removed from tagline.
Version 4b: Original layout with sides in the letter "M" of MARKETING tweaked so they are parallel, italics removed from tagline.
Version 4c: MARKETING changed to a sans serif font and tagline changed to serif font.
Thanks,
Kassi :)

Now, I don't mean to be a pain... ;)
But I really like the second one, but I was wondering if you could find a W with parallel lines as well.
What do you think?
Kassi

Hi Jason,
No pain! ;) Actually, I don't have a font in my library with parallel lines on a "W" and I searched some font sites and didn't find one either. But, I can certainly make one up to show you. I'm just heading out the door again and won't be back until later, so I'll have to work on this and post it tomorrow.
Thanks,
Kassi :)

Thank you Kassi.
I really, really like that crossed W the way it is, but the alignment issue is killing me. ;)

Taldo,
Can I ask for a couple of quick revisions to this logo?
1. Show me a version in hunter or forest green
2. Change the "Marketing" to a font that has parallel lines in the letter M
3. Change the "Innovators in Internet Marketing" to be non-italic
Thank you.

Thanks. I like this.
The only think I ask that you do now is make all the lines of text the same width.

Making a "W" with parellel sides was more difficult than I thought it would be! Here is what I came up with, something about it looks funny to me though, maybe you have some suggestions.
Thanks,
Kassi

The winner is #35. I will make the final revisions myself. Please list the fonts that were used in this design.
Thanks to everybody.
