Hi,

We are a design your own bag company that is looking for a name and slogan for a business we wish to start.

What the business is about
We are going to offer customers an oppurtunity to create/design their own bags online and have them delivered to their doorstep. Its important to note that we are NOT providing a coloring book for the customer but a host of other options like name embossing, choosing different option for parts (such as handles on a bag or pouches on a wallet), printing a photo on a bag and so on...am trying to attach some snaps to show you how some of the options will look.

As additional information need to point out that we are not going to allow a customer access to design from scratch nor are we offering room for all bag ideas on the planet but rather design within a set of parameters (that can be manufactured and delivered)

We are going to deal at first with Leather (our manufacturing speciality) accessories such as bags, wallets, belts, pouches...We hope to diversify into fabric and other areas in 5 years time. Our initial focus however is very strong on Leather.

Why we think our business Idea is unique
Well...we started of with the assumption that every individual is born with a NEED TO CREATE and its this latent need that our product/business is trying to fullfil. We are the ONLY business that is offering a solution of this kind as we know it (Google didnt find any other on the web). The customers order lands directly in our factory and ships to his doorstep. We specialise in hand made, single piece orders that are highly Personalised!

Who we are targetting
Primarily Women though we think some men will be interested
Age: 25-45
Income group - Upper Middle to Upper
Target Countries: UK to start with followed by USA

What we want

Well we are looking for a catchy business brand name and slogan that will provide instant recall for the nature of our business. We need something that conveys the idea of creation to customers and that they are in total control of designing their own bag and hence would love to flaunt it.

Some names we have avoided: Skin, SecondSkin....

Access City or Accessity - "Have Your Way, Every Day"

"Access" refers to "access"ories, and also that the clients will have "access" to options they never had before.

"City" refers to the idea of going out, and is also a play on the word "necessity," as in " every individual is born with a NEED TO CREATE," as you stated.

Access City has a more urban feel, Accessity has a more obscure, yet "designer" name feel.

The slogan "Have Your Way, Every Day," is a simple rhyme, yet gets the point across that people DO have the option of getting the look they want each and every day, with your service.

Hey jakenaylor Accescity is nice, quite fresh, however am not sure its effectively communicating the flavor of creation and designing your own. Well, it is in a way (necssity...) but not in a very visible way. The slogan is on the right lines, need something with more punch though, should be catchy.

Victoria, hmmm...bagtobasics is indeed original :) but well am not sure it conveys the ideas of creation or designing. But great suggestion do keep them coming, do remember to add a slogan too.

NOTE: designers, would prefer a name that is available as a .com name

Like the slogan - "We like your style" sort of flatters the ego of the customer and thats a great starting point :) "Create a clutch" is nice but mmm...missing something..cant place my finger on it. Didnt prefer the fashionista name or slogan. But great work so far hope we can hear more from you and thanks for checking up .com names being available.

QuirkDesign, Expressories....really like express in the name :) keep them coming. The slogan is a great starting point, needs more refinement i feel. Keep them rolling...Cheers

Designers, though our target audience is goign to focus on primarily women, we would prefer a unisex name. Reason? Well we believe that many women are going to buy bags/wallets, customise/personalise and gift them to MEN :)...and we would like them to use our products :) not put them away.

Great thoughts here on this forum, do keep them coming, excited to see what the remaining days have to offer.

Sort of liked yourbagfactory and liked the slogan "Design it, we'll do the rest". Inspiringbags was something else that caught my eye.

I do somehow feel that your ideas are too focussed on bags, admit its a mistake in the title i put out, in the brief i have mentioned that we manufacture accessories in leather and hopefully diversify to other material in the future. Feel that the name should be more "expansive" with emphasis on creation or design

Hello Team,

Very excited to see so many entries and a whole load of creative stuff up for this contest. My colleagues and i had a tough time on deciding what the winning entry is.

We have come to the conclusion that PURSONIFY is the winning entry for the name of our business. On the slogan we are are not sure that any of the entries that came up on this project are the best fit.
