*Update* I extended the deadline till the 24th and also added some designs I've seen on designoutpost.com that I really liked.

Pretty open to ideas for my boxing website, MayweatherBoxing.com. Need Illustrator files too.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
MayweatherBoxing.com (can be in all caps, whichever you think looks better)

What type of product or service do you offer?
Boxing site - will have forums, tips from pros, equipment, news, articles, merchandise, instructional videos, training camps, etc. We are offering a unique style of boxing that's called Mayweather Boxing.

How long have you been in business?
New site, haven't started

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Want a clean, attractive and professional logo to use on future website, hats, shirts, etc.

What are your long term goals?
Attract more people who want to learn Mayweather Boxing, offer training camps, sell boxing equipment, web advertising, etc.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
N/A

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Boxing fans and boxers, sports gamblers, other martial artists looking to learn a unique a boxing style

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Not sure what this means, how about an attractive one?

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Nope, use your imagination! Would like a color and B&W white version, though.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Open to anything - some ideas are boxing gloves, fighter(s), silhouette of fighter(s), boxing ring/ropes, etc. Maybe even a mascot.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Boxing, uniqueness

What is your tagline or slogan?
None yet, but you are free to add one.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Boxing

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, clothing, business cards, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
No real direct competitors, but I will list some URLs of other fighting/boxing sites. I think most of the logos are kind of plain.

List competitive URLs if possible
http://store.yahoo.com/fcfighter/tshirts.html
http://www.mmawarehouse.com/shirts.html
http://www.sherdog.com/
http://www.boxinginsider.com/

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Unique boxing style, chat with pros directly.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Unique

Is anyone working on this? Did I not provide enough information, or is it not challenging enough or something?

I'm working on something...but have a question for you: Some of the other URLs you listed tend to have a rough design style, is that something you're interested in, or do you want something a little cleaner?

Thanks,

Aaron

I went with the rough style... ;)

Pracus, your design is good, but the font is a bit thin. Also maybe the gloves coul be bigger and have more colors. Aaron, the logo seems good, but maybe it could also have more colors. By the way, the logo doesn't have to be "rough" like some of the other sites. I actually don't like any of the competing sites, they seem unprofessional and unclean. I'll extend the deadline since we are just getting entries.

pracus, could you incorporate the ".com" in your logo somehow? Bill and Aaron, could you show me different versions with the text in different colors/types? Thank you guys, looking good.

Hey Ruairi, nice entry. Note that the spelling is "Mayweather" though. Could you give more examples with different colors and maybe different arrangements of the elements?

Hey Bill, could you make the boxer just a silhouette, pure black? We'd like to see one version where he's completely black, and another one where he's all black but with red gloves. The red and black should be solid, one color. Thanks.

Hey gig, could we also see some version with the boxer as an all black silhouette, and one where he's a black silhouette with red boxing gloves? Thanks.

Bill, could you get rid of the "Floyd" in the logo? The website is going to include many boxers in the Mayweather family.
