Bogglins,
Good start,
Although the slogan should somehow be incorprated onto the front of the business card vs hidden on the backside.
Also, I don't know if the centered text and centered logo works for me. In addition, I'm finding that the text is not crisp enough and gets lost in the colours.
I hope to your revisions as well as additional submissions from other designers.

Bogglins:
This is a little bit better. I like how the logo and the slogan jumps out.
Although I'm not sure that I like where the logo is positioned.
Also the text appears to be too cluttered.
Overall there isn't enough designed elements.
Apprentice:
I like your creative approach. However I believe the logo may look better if it were positioned on the upper left side.
Not sure if I'm digging the left side of the card. It looks a bit too animated and also the text is a little bit stiffled because the background is so busy. I would like the focus to be on the logo and the slogan.
We look forward to seeing more submissions.
Thank you

Fran,
The information on the business card is a lot easier to read and the logo and slogan clearly stand out. That's definately a step in the right direction.
The design elements, although good is very similar to Bogglins first submission. I was hoping to see a variety of different design elements.
Also there are a number of errors made, for example:
should have a middle dot like the logo between MAX and IS.
It's Suite 704 and not Suite 70.
Email address should be on a separate line.
Our web address should also be displayed.

Fran,
Out of the 3 submissions, the middle design is the most appealing.
The company address, telphone fax No. section still looks a bit too cluttered. Also I'm not digging the fact that this information is positioned above the logo.
Perhaps you could re-size and place the logo in the top (upper) left corner and work on reducing the cluttered look of the contact details.
Thank you

Pieter
I really like the fresh design elements of your submission.
However I would much rather prefer to see the logo in the upper left hand corner of the business card. Also, can you put the slogan right underneath the logo (No Space Please)?
Move my name, title, and email address over to the upper right - And right justify the text.( delete space between title and email address)
Run the rest of the contact details (i.e. address, phone fax, web etc.) "end to end" (full justification) - at the bottom of the business card. This should require approximately 2-3 lines
I look forward to your re-submission
Thank you

Pieter,
your last submission looks a lot better. That said I have some additional requests:
Can you move our web site address replace text "MMMM" with it. In other words delete "mmmm" but keep the same font and colour for the URL.
Do not include the text "Web".
Also please delete the text "Address".
Finally could you tuck the logo more closer to the upper left corner a bit more?
Fran,
I like the bottom revision better than the top one.
Can you right justify my name, title and email address?
Also please run the rest of the contact details (i.e. address, phone fax, web etc.) "end to end" (full justification) - at the bottom of the business card. This should require approximately 2-3 lines.
Delete the text "mmmmm"
Finally could you tuck the logo more closer to the upper left corner a bit more?
Thank you

Peiter,
The colour is impactful and the design strong. That said, just a couple of more changes that I would like to see:
The address should list the street name first, followed by the suite# e.g. 10 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, Suite 704...
There should not be a period after ON.
I would prefer to see small dots where there are commas in the address -The commas add to a cluttered look and because they're so small, it's difficult to read them.
Instead...maybe you could try to using some small dots (as separators). And position them at the mid-point of the height of the letters (sort of the way it's done on the line with the telephone and fax number information).
Toll-Free should be written like this.
And I think that covers it for now.
Fran,
The white background is a bit too stark right now.
I believe the card would look much better if you were to incorporate a bit of colour in the background.
Thank you

hi.. i don't think that dots would be good to subtitute the coma.. this will make people confused.. and looks not neat.. unless it is used to separate two different thing, such as phone number and fax...
the text is small, but the coma is still readable on a business card..

This is sort of what I was thinking about, except smaller middle dots serving as separators:
10 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, Suite 704 • Mississauga • ON • L5W 3K6 • CANADA
Toll-Free: 866.54-!2@#$(866.546.2947) • Fax: 905.502.3461
I'd like to see what this would look like before making a decision.

Pieter,
It looks great ...
However, in order for it to be excellent, I'd like to see the following changes:
Replace the comma between the street address and the suite #
with a middle dot.
Remove dot between MISSISSAUGA and ON. Leave a space instead.
In the toll-free number, remove dash between 54 and mmmm and replace it with a period (to be consistent with the other numbers).
And there you have it.
P.S. Regarding the file formats - As we add new employees or changes to titles and email addresses. What type of file format(s) are you able to provide to us.
Fran,
Good work however I should let you know that right now I'm leaning more towards Pieters design.
Thank you

We would like to thank everyone who particiapted in this contest. We saw a number of great designs, however in the end, it was Pieter's design that we decided to select for this project.
Pieter
1) Adobe Illustrator is the format we prefer.
2) Can you please provide the size, number of colours and colour names.
3) Also we need to supply or outline fonts when sending to print.
Thank you
