Hey,

I've been asked to think of a name for a new hosting company that'll offer shared, reseller, and dedicated hosting.

Client likes the following names:
- Site5
- LunarPages
- Inverse Logic
- Ceonex
- PixelBrick
- WebSiteSource
- Rackfast
- Travelocity
- Orbitz
- NetZero
- Net10
- Marketel
- Santec

Basically, short, catchy, and easy to spell names. He says a number would be cool, and if it can make it catchy, for sure.

Doesn't like:
- Anything with the word 'host' in it such as HostRocket, HostWhatever

--------------------
The .com, .net, .org, and .biz domain extent ions need to be available, as well as alternative spellings. For example, if it is was site5, we'd want sitefive.com as well as site5.com available.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing what you can come up with.

Douglass, I think you need something "no meanings" name like yahoo, google, etc. but unique sounds, catchy and easy to spell. my suggestions:

- woola.com
- chihau.com
- kuraa.com
- wossy.com

I like the no meaning or relatively no meaning name idea, but I'm not fond of the ones you suggested, mainly due to the fact they can be hard to spell, and something realted to hosting would be better (include word site, net, etc.)

netrick - web hosting

.com avail'

DouglasH
09-22-2005, 01:43 PM
Don't want the word host in it, and netrick is nice, but the .net isn't available, which means no go. Also no -'s, etc.

netgrey isn't bad, but the alternative (netgray.com) is taken.

Keep 'em coming, thanks.

a couple more ideas:

webrapid.net

webvolume.net

wiredrocket.com

DouglasH
09-22-2005, 03:10 PM
Looking for a domain with both dot com, and dot net, not just one.

wiredrocket.com isn't bad, but doesn't give the effect I want (wow).

vnet2.com

available

DouglasH
09-23-2005, 07:20 PM
That isn't bad. I'd prefer a word (like site) with a number, but that isn't too bad.

heathersmith
09-23-2005, 07:36 PM
How about:

sites7.com

sitecell.com

siteforest.com

siteporch.com

Mark
09-23-2005, 08:42 PM
matrixsite.com

DouglasH

I like sitecell, that's pretty cool. sites7 isn't bad, but I don't like the plural.

pixelsblast.com

elementbang.com

pixel33.com

pixel88.com

DouglasH

Too design firm like, and I don't want the word host in it. If I needed a name for a design firm, it'd be cool though. :P Keep 'em coming.

netaccelerated.com

webacez.com

slotta10.com

...a play off the word "slaughter," as in "kills the competition, and features a number, which is 10 for "10 out of 10" and also it is a 1 and a 0 for reference to binary code (ie: coding/hosting). The number "101" could also be used, but as in a reference to a University course (like "this is how it is done!").

:)

4netspeed.com (.org, .net, .info available too)
4netforce.com (org, net, info too)
4webspeed.com (org, net, info too)

DouglasH
09-26-2005, 11:32 AM
slotta10.com - idea is good, but not a fan of having slaughter in the name or references to it.

4netspeed and 4netforce aren't bad, but I'd prefer something with the number after.

I really like sitecell, but sitesell is taken, and the words sound exactly the same. Otherwise, really really good.

Keep 'em coming.

siteroyal.com
sitesmash.com
101webzone.com
coyotecore.com
netjoolz.com (jewels/looks catchy)
techtasty.com
dubyoo2.com (a play on "W" for WWW, and "2" is a rhyming number)
confident10.com
10otto10.com (a play on "10 out of 10," but it looks neat)
lion101.com (your company is king among the other beasts)
abcnet123.com (ie: simple hosting)
wwwillion.com (the idea is that the site itself is a number...a "wwwillion"...like a huge number like million or billion, but its for the WWW)

All available (.com, .net, etc.). Solid gold!

DouglasH
09-30-2005, 05:07 AM
Thanks for posting those. I like confident10, but it's not at all related to hosting, web sites, or the Internet.

More like it and sitecell would be cool.

Now playing on the number 12 and this was random so no connection with hosting as far as I know...

ten2twelve.com

DouglasH
10-11-2005, 04:57 PM
hostonics is really nice, but hostonix.com (I say it the same way) is an established hosting company.

hostoasis.net is nice, but I don't want a .net.

ten2twelve is just too confusing with numbers, letters, etc.

aceler8.com Acelere is portuguese of accelerate. Starts with "A" also which will be good for listings.

:)
