PTPOWERHOUSE.COM
"only if results are what you want to see"
Project Summary:
Company: ptpowerhouse.com.
The logo should have the domain: ptpowerhouse.com
with the following slogan underneath: "only if results are what you want to see"
What type of product or service do you offer?
we offer a portal community allowing users to search for professionals by location and training needs, trainers to interact with clients and other trainers, read industry articles/news/information, manage their own web site, and we provide other tools/utilities for promoting and developing their professional identity/branding
How long have you been in business?
This is a new venture.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want to create and establish our professional branding/identity.
What are your long term goals?
To have a community of millions of trainers $1000/mo for our service... lol ... to establish ptpowerhouse.com as a dynamic, viable, and growing community for professionals within the health/training industry.
Audience Profile:
Our audience is personal trainers... additionally: chiropractors, yoga/pilates instructors, Martial arts instructors, dietitians, athletic/sports training, holistic practitioners, health and wellness instructors/consultants, alternative health practitioners, wellness professionals
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We are open to your creative ideas.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
For some reason, all three of us seperately envisioned royal blue/purplish for this logo (which was a bit odd)... but feel free to offer your creative ideas and opinions.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No. I do not really have any font selection, sizes, caps/uncaps, in mind.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
stream of consciousness: power, strength, agility, professionalism, fitness, health, sleek, streamlined, direct, performance, discipline
What is your tagline or slogan, this is the overall message we are trying to convey?
"only if results are what you want to see"
Where will your new logo be used?
On all print, web-based, and promotional media (water bottles, clothing, key chains, bumper stickers, towels, ...).
Competitive Positioning:
These aren't really competitors, but they are definitely in our industry:

What did we do wrong with this contest? We have had GREAT experiences with logo contests in the past.... this one has garnered no interest. I know the prize could be higher... but its not THAT bad so as to not get some quick submissions/ideas.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We are open to your creative ideas. We are going for something really eye catching and powerful. I am interested in seeing some unique style and "nonconventional" logos that 'grab you' and look professional... such as the Crunch logo. Sorry for being ambiguous here.

General Comments: We need something that really impacts the viewer and is really unique. The logo needs to conveythe power and activity conveyed by the industry. It should be something you visualize on all kinds of promotional media. Overall the logos just aren't dynamic enough. The slightly awkward www.crunch.com logo is unique and has personality.
I am sorry this feedback is not very good. I do not really know how to make it more precise with most of these particular logos... I dont understand the direction or see them catching someones eye as part of a professional identity package.
Ruairi: #1: This looks more like a dance related company than fitness. #2: Just doesnt seem very impactful. #3: this just doesn look like it would represent a large company. I see you were trying to capture fitness/power with #2/3.
Taldo: This looks like a professional logo... but doesn't have a unique and enticing personality.
RelevantStudio: I see you were trying to capture power and activity here... I do not think the javelin thrower works... and this has an overall 'bulky' feel to it. It seems better suited for a track&field related company.
Paula23: I don't really understand the direction here, especially with the sun logo. The main font (which i understand is editable) reminds me of a Varsity school font for some reason... which will not work here. I do not understand the design elements or think they work for ptpowerhouse.com
Bojan: #1: This does not look very professional, and I do not see it representing PTP. I do not understand the direction (egyptian eye and star = symbols of power?). #2: This is unique... but does not look active / powerful / impactful enough or have much depth.
Thanks for your ideas. Please keep them coming.
Here's my entry Jonathan :)

These logos just aren't quite working, and we thought of something that will probably look nice. It would be great to see your idea with this more targeted guidance.
lets try something with a silhouette of a male figure doing a lateral raise for the t in pt: http://www.abc-of-fitness.com/images/pics/lateral-raise2.jpg
if possible, please provide multiple variations, and also make sure the slogan is appropriately shown under the logo.
We have enjoyed a GREAT experience with DO in the past... but after over 3 weeks, this contest has not garnered much participation at all. In the past we have gotten 10+ great quality selections. Could you please give us some feedback on why we have not experience much participation? I understand 200$ isn't a pot of gold... but it is more than the minimum, and much more than we have offered for previous contests. (trust me ... i understand 200$ is still a great deal).

I apologize it has taken so long to get back to everyone...
We would like to see the following quick mods from the finalists. Please offer a couple/few different but related ideas.
RelevantStudio - Version 1 - could you provide a few revisions with a different action figure? The javelin thrower is not quite as fitness/trainer related as we are going for. Perhaps a runner, a weight lifter, maybe something else that might look nice.
Ruari - Version 2 - can you please try the following:
A. make the bicept curl more defined and ripped
B. keeping the figure more defined and ripped, try it with the arm extended and parallel to the the bottom. please try on the left as it currently is and then also artistically replacing the "T"
Paula23 - Version 3 - we would like to see it with the figure leaner and looking more like a T
Thank you for your time and creativity.
Best,
Jonathan

Ruari - We would like to see the following mods:
1. make the PT on the chest smaller, too look more like a modest superman
2. try a couple different revisions with dumbells in the figure's arms
3. while this is minor, put pt at the beginning of the URL under the figure
Paula 23 - can you still play with the figure more? perhaps keep the physique cut and defined, with thicker arms and a more slender torso... just play with it a little more please

Relevant: Regarding the PM i sent you... nevermind
Below is our final feedback:
Paula23: The logo with the figure holding the barbell... feedback from friends have shown that people do not associate the figure with a "T"... so can you please do the following.
- spell out PTPOWERHOUSE, one with the PT in light blue and POWERHOUSE in the darker purple, and another vice versa.
- add a small .com to the end
- in the bar under PTP... let's have:"Optimum Body Performance"
- under the bar, display the following text wth bullets in between the elements: Personal Training - Rehabilitation - Stength & Conditioning
Ruaria - can you omit the figure in your logo and gollow the same direction as above for Paula23.
Thanks a lot!
Can you please specify what version number you want me to work on? I am a bit confused about it.
Thank you.

Ruari: Versions 8 amd 9 will suffice.... since we are taking the figure out of it, this is now mostly text only
please let me know if have any further questions
