Hi,

Pursonify is a design your own bag company that is looking for a creative and unique logo (who doesnt huh? )

What the business is about
Pusronify is going to offer customers an oppurtunity to create/design their own bags online and have them delivered to their doorstep. We believe firmly that our business caters to the latent need to create in every individual.

Its important to note that we are NOT ONLY providing a coloring book for the customer but rather a host of other options like name embossing, choosing different options for parts (such as handles on a bag or pouches on a wallet), printing a photo on a bag and so on. We offer and oppurtunity for our customers create leather accessories that will be unique to them and can also have their signature on top of it.

We are going to deal at first with Leather (our manufacturing speciality) accessories such as bags, wallets, belts, pouches...We hope to diversify into fabric and other areas in 5 years time. Our initial focus however is very strong on Leather.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Dont have a preference now, would like to keep this option open. The name of the business can figure in the main logo area as an option. We are looking to emboss our logo on our products, do keep that in mind.

What type of product or service do you offer?
Listed above in the brief, we are a design your own bag company, catering to the latent need to create in every individual. We are offering our customer a chance to design their own leather accessories. This is going to be offered online to start with.

How long have you been in business?
We're just starting up

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
First of all, make people stand up and take notice of us :)
We would like people to start thinking of us when they want to buy a gift for anyone, they feel like expressing themselves, ideally every time they go online to shop for a personal accessory they should think of us

What are your long term goals?
We would like to grow to be an established top end fashion brand in manufacturing highly personalised and made to order accessories - leather and fabric

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Primarily Women though we think some men will be interested
Age: 25-45
Income group - Upper Middle to Upper
Target Countries: UK to start with followed by USA

Who would you like to add to your audience?
We're starting up so would like to attract as many people in the target audience as possible

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Am not sure what to answer here...need something creative, has unisex appeal. Illustrative logos are most welcome. The logo should ideally convey the thought behind our business - "an answer to the latent need to create"

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Hmmm...would like to avoid red, gray or blue. Would prefer tones of brown, yellow, orange, purple, green, gold. Need colors that reflect any of the following - luxury, elegance, earthiness, fashion, sophistication, freshness. (Hope i havent made this too complicated)

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No, would like to leave this open. Would definitely NOT like to see a purse or the likes on the logo, we would like our brand to expand across leather and fabric accessories in the long term.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Creativity, luxury and elegance.

What is your tagline or slogan?
none at the moment, should have one in a couple of days.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Would like to be percieved as a high (not top) end, personalised, leather accessories, fashion provider

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, stationery, Embossed on our products

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
A toughie...quite honestly we are in the fashion space for highly personalised leather accessories and couldnt find someone who specifically is a direct competition to us.

List competitive URLs if possible
These guys are not exactly competition but more like people in the high end leather accessories market
http://www.vuitton.com/ - THE top end of the market
http://www.reiss.co.uk/
http://www.gucci.com/ Gucci is really at the top end, we would like to get to being one step below.
Below is a messenger bag provider that has a similar business to ours (only its on fabric not leather)
http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/byobclassic.t2

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Well...we started of with the assumption that every individual is born with a NEED TO CREATE and its this latent need that our product/business is trying to fullfil. We are the ONLY business that is offering a solution of this kind for leather acccessoris as we know it (Google didnt find any other on the web). The customers order lands directly in our factory and ships to his doorstep. We specialise in hand made, single piece orders that are highly Personalised!

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Creation

Hello Taldo

Thanks for your entry, not too sure what the logo is trying to convey however. As mentioned in the brief the thought behind our business is that we are trying to cater to the latent need to create in an individual. We are trying to become a high end fashion brand hence require a logo to reflect - creativity, luxury and elegance.

Do hope we can see revisions from you soon

Thanks

Hello Ruari,

Thanks for your entries, indeed creative, like the idea of the finger print....nice has a personal touch. However the eye with the lashes conveys that this product is more oriented towards ladies. We need something that is more unisex

thanks

Hi Caroline,
Thanks for your entry, it is indeed intresting but hmmm...we are a little perplexed on what the different aspects youve put together are trying to convey. Like for instance we see these lines running around the P, hmmm...not sure about what they mean. Also, the dots that are there, do they denote something special

look forward to hearing from you

Would love to see something from you that has immediate visual impact.

Thanks

hello ruari,

just reviewed this with my colleagues, they are quite impressed with the idea of the thumbprint, feel it suits what we are looking to convey.

Some suggestions for variations that we came up with.

1. if we remove the eye ball and the lashes, just have pursonify as text, have a solid fill in the letter "o" and place the thumb print?

2. not have the eye ball and lashes, have pursonify as text, and substitute the letter "i" with the thumbprint?

Hope to see your revisions soon,

Thanks

Hello,
I wanted to take part to this competition, so here is my first submission. I thought of your guidelines (the emboss, mainly) when I designed the basic woman profile, and also when I chose the font.

Thank you,
Virgil.

P.S. Ruairi, if you think that the placing of the illustration ontop of the "O" letter copies your idea, please let me know, and I'll remove this design, and place the illustration elsewhere. Thank you :)

Folks,

Apologies for the late reply we were closed for holidays here.

Tonya: Thanks for your entry, hmmm....we are looking for a logo that is more unisex so dont think your current entry falls in line. Would love to see revisions from you though.

Ruari: The thumbprint ideas is by far the best that we have liked...great work. Are there any other variations you can work out with the thumbprint and the text?

Virgil, nice idea, hmmm....looking for a unisex entry, so i guess your current entry needs revision. I also thought that the color combination in the O was a little too "bright"...can we try something that will convey elegance and luxury?

Thanks
Ranjith

Folks,

Thanks for all your entries, really appreciate the time and effort that each of you have spent on this project, did see some very creative work.

Fabian - liked your last entry, highlighting the u was a nice touch.

My colleagues and i have however decided that Ruari's entry (version 06) for pursonify is the winner.

Ruari, i shall be getting in touch with u on private messages to work out a revision and color, we are almost there :)

Admin team, request to have this project moved to the revisions forum so that we can work out the changes and move to closure.

Thanks
Ranjith
