Greetings!

I have an immediate need for a new logo for a web development company that has recently changed its name. I'm proposing $250 to the winning designer.

For more details, see the answers to my questionnaire below:

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
A: Fusion One Media

What type of product or service do you offer?
A: Website Design and Web Application Development

How long have you been in business?
A: 3 Years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A: To establish credibility in the marketplace with a unique and sharp look.

What are your long term goals?
A: We plan to expand from small web development projects to longer term contracts with larger firms.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience.
A: We currently have great success with small to medium size businesses, B2B and B2C.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
A: We would like to start working with larger corporations.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
A: Cutting-edge and recognizable. I'd like people to see it once and see it again and remember having seen it in the past.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
A: I'm open here, but I am fond of shades of blue, red and yellow. Ultimately, I would like it to look good in 2-Color and Grayscale formats.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
A: Again, I'm open, but I was thinking about some type of simple image having to do with the word "fusion."

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
A: I would like the logo to look sharp and professional to indicate to clients that we take good care of their professional image and also take a high tech approach to our work.

What is your tagline or slogan?
A: Insightful Internet Solutions

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A: We're experienced, high tech, professional and worth the price they pay.

Where will your new logo be used?
A: Website, business cards, marketing pieces, postcards, and stationery. I will need a vector art format (Illustrator) delivered.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
A: Check most web design firms. I find many of their logos either too plain or too loud.

List competitive URLs if possible
A: n/a

What sets you apart from your competitors?
A: We find new and innovative ways to accomplish tasks that our competitors say cannot be done.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
A: Always effective on the first try.

Fabian, that looks great! Could I see something with the "1" spelled out if possible? My concern is that with the "1" embedded in fusion like that, it might create some confusion possibly.

Jon, I like where you are going, but I'm not particularly fond of that font. The second version appeals to me more without the illustration of the person but I'd be interested in seeing another version with some other creative illustration. Thanks so much!

Trysen,

Looks nice, but the font is a little too plain for me.

Fabian, I really like where your concept is going. If I could just see some variations in the placement of the "1" and with "One" spelled out... Thanks!

WIth just one more day before deadline, I'd just like to make a few more comments.

I like the unique approach to the design in the first comp, Fabian. I'm really leaning that way.

DesignGeneral, I like the unique symbols but the size of the logo itself might be difficult for me to work with.

gig, love the concept, very unique! However, I'm too worried about people confusing hte business name as Fusion-E-Media.

I'm open to more ideas until tomorrow! Thanks so much to you all for your amazing work!

Kassi,

On that second version of the logo design, could I see the "One" spaced out slightly so the letters aren't touching... Close, but not touching.

Also, while making that adjustment, could you also show me another variation on the "1"?

Thanks so much!

Certainly! Here are a couple of options with the number "1". The black & white versions are a little different for each as well.

a concept based on the 'fusion' of 'F' and '1' and use of a custom font.
