Project Summary Q & A:
Q: What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
A: Dallas White Rock Lake Dog Park
Q: What type of product or service do you offer?
A: This is a dog park open to the public to bring their dogs and allow them playtime off leash. We are located on White Rock Lake in Dallas. The park provides secured access to the lake where dogs can legally swim in the lake.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: The park has been open approximately 5 years
Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A: We hope to give the park an identity w/in the community. This branding / identity will be leveraged to further promote the park through marketing and sales of park logo items (no limit to the goods we’ll wish to put this logo on).
Q: What are your long-term goals?
A: Our primary goal as a non-profit is to raise funds for on-going expansion and improvements to the dog park.
Q: Audience Profile?:
A: Dog Owners within Dallas.
Q: Who would you like to add to your audience?
A: Outside dog owners, we want to create a buzz in the business community to enlist corporate sponsors for the park. This all begins with creating an identity and promoting excitement around being associated with the dog park.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
Q: What type of logo would you like?
A: We’ll walk a fine line here b/t fun (we are talking about dogs here) but not cutesy. We are a non-profit organization that needs to raise funds. Our identity needs to be professional, yet fun. Our use of this logo will span from business cards and letterhead to tee shirts and ball caps. It needs to be highly reproducible both with and w/out “Dallas White Rock Dog Park” attached to the logo. We are looking for minimal use of fine detail w/in the logo to minimize loss in reproduction or costly to reproduce.
Q: Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
A: We are not currently branded in any way. We do have a web site www.dallasdogparks.org, but to the best of my knowledge, the color scheme was randomly picked. No limits. For reproduction purposes we’ll want to use a full color version of the logo on our web site, but limit the color use for the printed and embroidered items (it’s all about cost control).
Q: Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
None
Communication Strategy:
Q: What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
A: Warm, friendly, professional, love of dogs, trustworthy, family-oriented.
Q: What is your tagline or slogan?
A: We currently do not have a slogan or tagline
Q: What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A: We were the first and will continue to be the best Dog Park in the Metroplex. The park belongs to the community.
Q: Where will your new logo be used?
A: Everywhere. T-shirts, stationery, our Web site
Competitive Positioning:
Q: Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
A: We don’t really have competitors, though we continue to hear rumblings about for-profit parks opening. If there is competition, it is community recognition of the parks that sprinkle the Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex. We continue to drive towards begin recognized for our contribution to the dog community and the commitment to providing a fun and safe environment for dogs and people to interact.
Q: List competitive URLs if possible:
A: None
Q: What sets you apart from your competitors?
A: Other than being the first of it’s kind in the Dallas Metroplex, we are located on a lake with controlled dog access to the lake. The addition of the lake access has been a huge success and favorite reason to visit our dog park for a large number of our park users.
Targeted Message:
Q: State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
A: No Leash Required
