[Project Complete] Character logo for outdoor\recreational sports T-Shirt

We are looking for a character person to be our mascot\logo for our new start up t-shirt\clothing apparel line. The name of our company is Be Real Outfitters. We are targeting the outdoor'sy, recreational type person that kayaks, bikes, surf, hikes, etc... While I am anxious to let your creative talents flow, I would like to see maybe it go in the direction of an outline or stick type figure guy sitting in a kayak, maybe a guy with a surfboard under his arms, or yet another hiking with a back pack and hiking stick. Maybe a cartoony\stick figure combination would work. This figure would have to be able to be generic enough to pose with many sports genre & look cool enough to attract the 16-40 crowd in their enjoyment of the outdoors & activities. Possible variations in regard to what he is wearing, maybe baggy hiking shorts, wearing a Tilley Hat (outback style) (or ball cap backwards), with a slight smile. The logo would have to include the words, "Be Real" under the image. The name Be Real and it's character should convey Be Real, Be yourself, Be true to your sport\activity. A similar yet too cutesy look can be found on the Life is Good line of apparel. I hope this will be a fun contest for all. Thank You! No deadline has been set at this time. Mike

Hey Pracus,
thanks so far for your entries. I'll try to post a few images, one of the Tilley hat (www.tilley.com) as well as the type of stick\character type person used at www.lifeisgood.com) that we would like to have. If possible, a side view of the character would be preferred at first, with either a surfboard or kayak under arm wearing a tilley, baggy khaki shorts. Maybe less cartoony, more of an outline of a real person's face with a smile\smirk. Hopefully the attachments will follow. Thank you.

Still not what I'm looking for. More stick like than cartoon would be better. Also, the images still lack the Tilley hat and the baggy khakis I had asked for. Could I get some more help?

Have attached a few more files of what I'm looking for. The mikemount0001 is a picture of one of my sons. I would like the character to look like him, tilley hat, shorts, looking off in the direction just slightly turned toward front with smile. The other attached files are of kayakers and a hiker. I think the surf character is too young, kiddish, too cartooney. If someone could characterize the mikemount001 picture, that would be great. Thank you.

could you perhaps do a few changes as follows: Make the guy a little more stick figurish, the face is close, as is the hat. Maybe more baggier shorts, some beat up hiking boots and if you could now show us a version of the character on a mountain bike, that would be great. Thank you.

I've attached a Life is Good figure which is somewhat what I am looking for but not exactly. It is hard to convey what exactly we are looking for and are really looking for the designers to interject their creative backgrounds and new ideas into this character. The character Fabian has posted is at least going in the right direction, look-wise. If you could as a designer, take the Life is Good guy attachement on the mountain bike and then take a Fabian character looking guy but with more baggieness, sloppy, worn hiking boots, Tilley hat and then make a character out of those combinations. I'm sorry I cannot draw a sample myself but I was hoping that your backgrounds in graphic arts and creativity would come up with something. Thank you.
