Hi, (Admin code added by Palmer - 521745)

We are looking for a logo for DeasyConsulting.

Our domain name is www.deasyconsulting.ie but our
website is not up and running yet.

Deasy Consulting is an IT consultancy business. Our areas of
speciality are Automation of Manufacturing Processes including
-Data Capture
-Data Integration
-Auto ID such as bar code scanning, Radio Frequency tags,
Factory floor systems and Mobile & Wireless systems for data logging and warehousing.

It is important to note that whilst Deasy Consulting consults
about Manufacturing Processes and how to manage information within
these Processes, it is really an IT solutions company, so the logo should
reflect this.

Contest Info: The prize is $70
Deadline: Tuesday 8th July
Style: We would like the logo to consist of some sort of graphic
representation and not only the name Deasy Consulting
The logo should be crisp, clean and corporate looking.
The main colours should be blue/shades of blue.

Format: The logo should be easily sized for use on our Web site, Letter heads
and Businss cards.
Can you supply the finished logo in vector format ?
What about any fonts that are used in the logo, will they be supplied with the finished design ?

Looking forward to working with you all,
Any questions just post.

Hi,

Thanks for your initial work.

We are hoping that you could incorporate the ideas of

data flow
process flow
information moving in a process
data integration

into the logo.

Also, about the colors.
We are ready to accept other colors in the logo whilst
keeping blue as the dominant/main color.

Thanks,
Sean

Hi,

Thanks for your efforts so far. :)

j-design: we like your last design the most, it is
moving in the right direction. We don't really
like the font, perhaps something more straightforward.
Also we think the colors are a bit too light, could
you try something more strong, more defined colors.
Feel free to introduce some other color, whilst
keeping blue/navy and a professional theme.

We would be very interested in more ideas to do
with data integration, data flow and process flow.

We are not too fond of any of the fonts used so far,
we would prefer something more straight forward.

Some other logos we liked are:

http://www.designoutpost.com/gallery/detai...php?image_id=35 (http://www.designoutpost.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=35)
http://www.thelogofactory.com/logo_design_...ies/tlf111.html (http://www.thelogofactory.com/logo_design_galleries/tlf111.html)

What we like are the curved lines. We think that these
could be used to represent data flow, perhaps
with arrows or something. These are just our thoughts.
We will leave the creative genius up to you.

Changes..

Hi,

Thanks for redoing the colors but
the graphic we feel isn't what we want.

We would like if you could try
some fresh ideas bringing
in ideas of data flow, data integration,
process flow, etc.

Some elements which we would like are:

Text Layout
We feel that the words "Deasy Consulting"
are too long all on the one line so we
would like them to be on top of each other
as opposed to side by side.

3D
We think the existing ideas are too flat,
we would like something more dynamic,
giving more of a dimension to the logo,
perhaps a 3D look or shading etc.

Curves
We think that the flow of data could
be represented by curves around the logo
in some form or perhaps by some
neat graphic element.

We really appreciate all your efforts
so far and are excited about working with
the best designers.

Thanks

- Sean

Hi,

Great to see some new entries.
We feel that we are moving closer to what we want.
Thank you for your work.

Some comments

ElKootcho:

We like ElKootcho_02 very much, we would like some mods as follows:
- We think that the letter D in Deasy should be Uppercase
- We feel that the word Deasy is too dominant and that there should
be more balance between the two words
- Perhaps try the word consulting in an inverse block (white text on the blue background)
- Also about the swirl/swish/curve, could you try a few variations with this
We really feel that this is moving in the right direction

About ElKootcho_01
Some of our team quite like this.
Could you try change the gold to the red as in ElKootcho_02 ?
Try it without the star/sun
Again we have the same concerns about the proportion, the Deasy is too dominant
And perhaps as the curve tapers off straighten it to the horizontal

Ondarox:
I believe this has potential, let me make a few comments.
- Can you change the word DEASY to Deasy (sentence Case)
- Can you make the graphic a bit more compact, we feel that to
put it on a business card it is too spread out ?
Maybe you have comments on this ?
- We feel the graphic has potential, so if you are inspired
feel free to add to it etc., remembering that the theme
should be about data integration, data flow etc.

Everyone:
This comp has still a good few days to run, so any new ideas are still welcome.

Thanks again for your entries so far.

- Sean.

Hi,

Thank you for all the entries.

We are particularly interested in two logos and
hope that the designers can make a few slight mods
to help us work towards the winning logo.

Ondarox:
We really like your entry with the blue background and
the yellow text (Jul 4 2003, 03:18 PM).
We really like the font and how the two words are
connected.
We would like if you could:
- remove the balls/spheres
- lower the height of the swish
- and perhaps thin out the thickness of the curve
at its highest point.
Also we are wondering about the blue background,
we thought all along that we should go with a white
background to facilitate the printing
of headed paper etc. What do you think about
this ? Will this logo work
with the blue background ?
Perhaps try a version with a white background,

Elkootcho:

Refering to Elkootcho_02

We liked this one very much and we had requested
some mods but it wasn't very clear looking back at our post.

- We think that the letter D in Deasy should be Uppercase
- We feel that the word Deasy is too dominant and that there should
be more balance between the two words
- Perhaps try the word consulting in an inverse block (white text on the blue background)
- Also about the swirl/swish/curve, could you try a variation where the curve is longer
We really feel that this is moving in the right direction

Thank you everyone for your entries so far,
It is a pleasure to work with such creative talent.

Regards

- Sean

Hi,

We are close to wrapping this competition up.
We had stated a closing date of July 8th initially, we would like to extend it by two
days until Thursday July 10th.

Ondarox:
We are really considering your entry with the blue background and the yellow text.
Would you be able to make the few mods as requested in my previous post and then we will be in a position to finally decide on the winner ?

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks Ondarox for your mods.
We really like it but we have concerns about the blue background.

Ondarox: Can you alter the logo so that it has a white background ?

We will be declaring a winner later on today.

Thanks,
Sean

Hi,

And the winner is ....

Ondarox

for his latest logo on the white background.

Thank you to everyone who posted.
There has been some very nice designs but there can only be one winner.

Hopefully I'll be back with some more competitions in the near future.
