Hi all, this is a bit of a rush job as I need a new logo designed for my software product, Dr CheckAll (www.drcheckall.com) that is ready to go into beta. The deadline is mid November.

Dr CheckAll is a very small Microsoft Windows Server application that checks for Event log red errors and then emails the possible answers to the problem.

Our product is unique because it looks up the answers whereas all our competitors systems simple notify administrators of events.

Obviously the name is a play on 'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde" being that Dr. Jekyll was the clever one and the product tagline is 'Don't let your servers become Mr. Hyde'. Another tagline is 'Answers to Windows server errors direct to your inbox'

This product will be purchased on a subscription basis.

Specifics:

I would like something fun looking but with a business edge.

I also have a web site competition already posted on the template forum.

It helps the designers to see a due date in the title. Since you mentioned mid-November, could I tentatively set it for Nov. 15th?

Yes 15th November is a good deadline date.

Hi Tonya and thanks for your effort. We really liked it. Can we ask for a couple of quick changes please. We would like to see the logo without the strap line at the top and can we ask for a colour change of the PMS355 to PMS165. Cheers.

Hi Tonya and thanks for the revisions. We think we prefer the colours on your first post. However my colleagues believe that we should incorporate the words "answers to windows server errors direct to your inbox" as the strapline as they feel this it is more descriptive of the product. Any ideas are welcome. If we could see any revisions in both colours that would be great. Thanks.

I did a little more to differeniate the 2 halves of the name as well ;)

Hi Tonya and thanks for the revisions. Could we see it with the "all" as you had it before as well. Also if you would not mind could we see another variation on the above but with a softer tick. Thanks.

Hi Tonya and congratulations. You will be please to know that the Green and puple version of your last submission if the one we have chosen. We have one minor adjustment to have a look at which is to make the Dr and all letters close together.

I would like to thank all entrants for their submissions.

Thanks for selecting my design :)

My only concern about tightening up the letters is that there's already very little width to fit the whole tagline in there without it sticking out beyond the name. It's already pretty small and I'm worried it would be practically unreadable if it goes much smaller. Is there way you can shorten the tagline a bit? If so, I think the whole thing will work better even with the DrCheckall lettering tightened up. Let me know.

Only thing I can come up with is "Answers to server errors direct to your inbox".

Cheers.

Okay, I'll try the shortened tagline and see what I can do with the full length one as well. I'll post revisions shortly.

I've tried a few things here. All of them have the DrCheckall text tightened up, so the differences are with the tagline. The first (A) uses the full tagline. The second (B) uses the shortened tagline. The third (C) one also uses the shortened tagline, but I modified the check angle a bit to allow better space for the 2 parts of the tagline on each side of it. I also made the text bolder and italicized it, which I think helped make it more readable and also evened it up better. Let me know what you think.
