Design Ninjas,
Our company offers a service that helps small businesses put web forms on their sites, without programming knowledge or access to a server. We used Design Outpost for a re-design and were quite pleased with the results (http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6210).
We're looking for someone to redesign the area users see when they login.
Pic: http://wondermill.com/fbcontrol_panel.gif
Live: https://www.freedback.com/index.php/module/User/action/Signup (choose "I have a personal site" and create an account)
We need to be able to output data in a single format for any of the sites, and then use CSS to make it look snazzy. We created a little HTML page that contains all the elements we expect to show the user (eg. error/feedback messages, tables, submit buttons, logout link, etc). All Function, no Form, so you can give us a look all our own.
The Template: http://wondermill.com/control_panel_example.html
As you can see, we've made it UGLY AS HELL so you'll start afresh and dazzle us. ;)
Deliverables:
a) The CSS file which turns our HTML template into one good-lookin' control panel.
b) Any images you create as part of the project.
Deadline: November 3rd. Holy quick turnaround Batman!
Notes:
* Fewer images makes it easier for us to create another version of the control panel for another site.
* The re-design should blend with our external site (http://www.freedback.com/) but doesn't have to look identical. Other sites we like:
Digg: http://www.digg.com/
Writely: http://www.writely.com/BasePage.aspx
* As you tackle the project you might want to make changes to the HTML template we provide. No problem, we're happy to consider changes but please bring them up with us. The template is kind of like the "assumption" of the project - we're assuming your design works with it unless we talk about it first!
* A word about our users: Many of our customers use us because we make it easy to build a form. The winning design will be very clear and easy to understand.
* Use your own standard for coding the CSS. Keep 'er neat and clean and you'll make us happy campers.
Thanks for checking out this project, let us know if you have any questions. Cheers!
