Hi all,

We urgently require a small advert designed for use in a brochure that is going to print at the end of this week.

We have our requirements quite clear so I am hoping the timescales for this project shouldn't present an issue.

The size of the advert is 86mm x 40mm and needs to incorporate the following information:

1) Existing logo - please see attachment

2) Company Name - RGT Limited

3) Contact Telephone Number - 0800 6526262

4) The key phrases and words - "Local experts in VOIP and Broadband" and "Installer and Maintainer of leading edge Telephone Systems".

5) Accreditation Logos - both ISO 9000:2001 logo and Investors in People logo (see attached)

We do not want a busy advert, but want to grab attention!!

I would welcome some designs slightly "outside of the box" as well as technology oreintated.

I look forward to seeing some designs soon!

Dan Birchmore

Hello.

I have just a few questions.

1. Is this a four color publication or do they have spot or black and white requirements?
2. What format will they accept the advertisement in? InDesign, Quark, Illustrator, PDF?
3. Are the logos available as eps files? The resolution on the gifs provided is too low for printing clearly and it would be beneficial to have the eps versions.

Let me know and I will be happy to submit some samples for you to choose from.

1) Can you work on a black and white basis at present and I will clarify whether colour can be used tomorrow morning. In the mean time could you submit conceptual designs ASAP as we have a very tight deadline.

2) I will clarify the required formats tomorrow.

3) I will work on some high resolution formats, in the mean time please use the items provided to get an idea of layout.

Could those designers who are going to be in a position to offer a design by close of play tomorrow please step forward and make themselves known please?

I will be answering the questions raised yesterday very shortly!

Thanks

Dan

Please find detailed the following answers:

1) The advert is a four colour single panel advert in a brochure with dimensions of 86mm x 40mm

2) The final design should be submitted in either a high resolution .pdf, over 300 dpi?

3) I will supply the images in high resolution but given our tight deadline please use the low resolution ones in order to put something together now.

Hi Dan

Please find posted a first draft ... not much space and to be honest think the logos at an absolute minimum. If there are any queries feel free to leave a message.

Firstly thanks to all that have entered.

Please find detailed below feedback in no particular order:

Kre8- don't like the red "O" in VoIP but like the clean style of the first entry. I wouldn't explore the other options as they

Kaimere - thanks for the entry but the CEO wasnt keen on the colours for the first one and didnt like the broken design of the bottom

Virgil - didnt like the pole entry. Loved the second entry although the text looks very busy.

As we have an extremely short deadline I have selected two entries for further minor changes before making the final selection and to avoid wasting any more of your valuable time:

Kre8 - please remove the red "O"

Virgil - please ammend the last entry to make the text look less busy? (They loved the text layout of Kre8 designs to provide you with some direction)

I look forward your prompt replies shortly.

Regards

Dan

Hi Dan,

How's this?

Virgil.

Hello Dan,

I understand the high-resolution logo problem you have. I used the logo you sent me but there is a concern that the logo won't look so good when printing, because of it's resolution. Also, the "Investor" and "BSI" logos might be a bit small to be readable. That's because of the size of the ad,I know it's a small ad, and I also understand the need to focus on the message (who, what).

Let me know what you think,
If it's ok with these changes, I will prepare the file,
Virgil.

Great looking ad just what I wanted.

I am just awaiting a high res copy of our logo which I will forward to you shortly.

I am not worried about the other small logos as they are so small.

Thanks

Dan

OK Dan,

As soon as I will have the logo, I'll change the actual one with the high-res one (it's a 5 min job) and then send you the file :)
