Logo contest for Lawn/Landscape Company

I am starting up a Lawncare and Landscaping business. I have some ideas for the logo but don't have the tools to create them properly. The name of the company is AltaView Lawn & Landscaping. AltaView is specific to where I live in Utah. I think I would like something with a mountain or a silhoutte of a mountain with my name incorporated. I will need the logo in dfferent formats to accomodate business cards, letterhead, invoices and insertion into webpages. I will also use it in some word/excel documents. The logo will also go on shirts (grey sweatshirt color or some similar color), hats and vehicles and signs. I would like to keep it to two colors for ease of reproduction and cost of printing. I spend my entire day at my computer so I will be lightning fast with feedback on all design submissions. I love the work that all of you are capable of so I look forward to your submission! I am also available by phone if needed. Just pm me and I will give you the number. I will open this up for two weeks but if the designs come in I will close this week. Just depends on how heavy your workloads are and if we can get it done this week. The sooner the better!

Elkootcho, I like that but would you show a couple more samples with different color schemes? Maybe a dark blue, dark green and red and without the sunburst effect above the mountains. I like it though.

j-design, I also like the simplicity of your design. I would like to see the mountain represented as two peaks though with a more pointed peak structure.

Elkootcho, I would also like to see yours with a different font. I am thinking from a vinyl lettering standpoint and how easy or not it might be to read for cusotmers that are not right up on my truck and trailer.

Elkootcho, Could you do what you did but in Red lettering with a font that his not quite as fat? Also, could you do that with a sunburst but make it look more like the sun coming up? Also, could you do a version with the background in brown behind the lettering and then one with red lettering and yellow background to match the sun's color that you use? I know I will be using more than two colors but I can live with it if it looks great! Thanks for all your effort!

Ok, these are getting better! We are getting close.

ElKootcho, I really like where we are going with this. So far I like the red lettering and the blue/orange version the best. Could you do two more versions for me? I would like to see it in a solid red that matches the one for Alaska Extreme Distribution with the black outlining. Could you do one like that and then one like that with a yellow sunburst?

j-design...I like the fonts and the font color....but I still am not sold on the mountain. If you have another creative idea other than the mountain then go for it.

I should be able to make a final decision within the next 12-24 hours. You both are extremely talented and I appreciate all of your effort on this.

ondarox, that's an interesting design. I am not crazy about the colors. I like the two color scheme like the orange/blue that ElKootcho used in one of his designs. Can you do something with the colors and make the text to say AltaView as one work and then Lawn & Landscaping under it. I also want to stick with a uppercase A and V in AltaView. Thanks for the entry.....let's see a twist based on what I just mentioned. Maybe a variation on the graphic too but very interesting.

ElKootcho, Ok.....I am torn between the last two! I like them both. I am going to take an anonymous poll of my coworkers to see what is the most memorable and attractive. If you have any other creative changes you think would be positive, post 'em up. I really like what you have done.

I am still interested in any other entries that may be out there though. As of right now ElKootcho is leading the pack but please post any new submissions as they will all be considered.

This site should really be publicized more. I will definitely talk it up because you guys/gals are all so talented and great to work with! I look forward to the remaining submissions that may come in and look forward to making a decision soon!

Since all lawncare logos I've seen on the forum here are green, I thought you might like yours to be more unique, so I've concentrated on the alta (tall) view, the mountain, and the concept of "fresh air" by incorporating a crisp, blue design.

Sparkie, I like that much better. Could you modify the mountain a bit? It looks kinda like a volcano to me (a good one though :) ). I would like to see something a little more defined or jagged like a pointier mountain peak. If that doesn't make sense, let me know.

Sparkie, I like that mountain better but after seeing it on a card and tshirt it looks like too much dark blue. It doesn't look proportianate to the rest of the card.

If you have any other creative idea that is a departure from that them then i welcome it to get a different perspective. Thanks for your hard work on this.

Ok, I have finally decided on a design! It has been very difficult but I have to make one final choice. All of the designs have been great and I appreciate all of the entries.

After looking at them over and over I still had a hard time narrowing it down from the final two. I have decided to go with ElKootcho's design. The one I will go with is ElKootcho_4. :tup:

I will highly recommend this site to anyone looking for design services.
