:D My name is Wayne Cordova, I'm the Minister to Students at Community of Hope a church in Royal Palm Beach, FL.

We're getting ready to kick off a new College-Aged Ministry at our church called Turning Point Ministries.

I'm looking for a logo that would be used in brochures, power point, and possibly T-shirts. I would like the church logo of a sunrise in be somewhere in the design to keep is relatively familiar with the overall church theme but I'm open to anything! And it doesn't have to be the exact same sun either... (check out www.communityofhope.org (http://www.communityofhope.org) for a reference.)

I would prefer some really modern and contemporary that points straight to the college culture...

Blue and Yellow, or even Blue and Silver are the colors I'm looking at... I just want something that identifies with students who are at a Turning Point" in their lives...

Thank you for you help... I'm looking to make a decision by July 11th the latest.

God Bless,

Wayne Cordova

JulieT,

Thanks for you quick response and entry... I like the design, but I'm looking for something targeting college students a little more... I like the color scheme, but I was hoping for a more edgier style font... we don't neccessarily need a house in the logo ... maybe something more resembling a "Turning Point" in your life... like a compass or something directional like that...

I really like the logo, it just doesn't quite fit with the demographic of who we're reaching... I can't wait to see what you've got next!

God Bless,
Wayne

Hmmm...I'm going with your compass suggestion for now because I'm having a block...and I can get an edgier font if needed...most of my younger fonts tend to be girly :)

JulieT,

 I really like where this is headed... Can you change the compass (the blue circle part) into a yellow sun with rays and make the compass dials blue?

Every ministry in my church has a sun rise of some form in their logo... I just want to keep it recognizable... but it doesn't have to be exact at all... Let's try a couple of different fonts if possible. You rock!

Julie,

I'm loving it... can you try only using the outline of the sun? maybe use the same circle you had when it was blue, and then just had some strokes to make the sun rays? I'm loving the look with the sun on the left and then the lettering on the right...

can you make "ministries" just a little smaller and underneath "Turning Point"

It's looking awesome!

How about this?

I love the top one, if you can... could you align the text to the left? so that "ministries" is directly underneath the word "Turning?"

And then one small thing... in very small letters could you write in simple thin/block font "A Ministry of Community of Hope" and also try just "Community of Hope" I want to see which looks better...

I'll be able to show this design to my Pastor soon and see what he thinks...

Thanks you very much!

:D Julie,

I love the top one of your latest batch... one more thing... could you please take the blue compass dial and turn it slightly so that it looks like a cross? And also maybe extend the bottom arm of the compass dial just a little longer to make it look like a cross? Keep it the same just turn it and extend the bottom portion... thanks you rock!

Coxy,

Thanks for your submission! We're looking for a little edgier type of font... and the sun portion should probably have some sun rays coming out of it...

Think colligiate and direction seeking...

I'd love to see what else comes up!

Thanks,

Wayne

Julie, we love the logo!

One last thing... could you maybe turn the cross slightly more to the left ... I want to keep the angle but still keep the cross a little more noticable.... they love it by the way!

;) Wayne, you rock. that's a great looking logo. I would not overuse the word "ministry" however - "college ministry" a "ministry" of community of hope. Maybe jus say @ community of hope or something. You should also send this designer some $$ for such a good logo for free!!! :D

I'm still waiting on some web looks for my website. Looking forward to see what I can come up with.

Later,
Dave
