I need a design by the end of this week. A quick job that has come up.

The site will be called YourFreeMags.com.
Would like to see the logo with and without the .com

Members join the site and earn points and in return can choose a free magazine subscription.

Would like something cool.
The logo must be brandable.
Don't have any colours in mind. Want it to be fun colours though.
It will not be a corporate style site.
Some sort of symbol that doesn't really mean anything.

Design should be vector based for other promotional material. Don't want any gradients or dithered shaddows. Can use straight colours for shaddows.

If you would like to provide one version for the web and one for print that would be good also.

Any questions - just ask...

I am wondering if maybe the oval looks a bit like a football? I like the odd shape on top of this oval though is it possible to try different shapes behind it? Could even cut wedges out of the shape behind? Maybe even something like a spiral?

I like these colours best - purple/green, orange/purple and would also like you to try orange/green

I hope the colors reflect your wishes--I'm not sure if you're going for bright and eye-grabbing or more subdued.

Elk: I like the direction of no:1.
The second is too big - I am not sure how I would implement it into a website and think it would be hard to read on banners.

J-design - this design is too simple - I am after something that will draw my attention to it. Someting that really stands out!


Maybe some sort of character for a motto? Someone reading a magazine??

Julie - I really like the font you have used. Could you possibly continue with this font and try some different symbols?


Everyone else - I really want some sort of symbol as part of the design that I can hopefully take from the design and use as a branding tool. Even something as simple as the swoosh Nike use. (branding the key word here)

WOW! I can't believe these logos. They are all great! Going to be very difficult to choose!

ElKootcho: # 3 - love the colours. Could you make the magazine pile a little shorter and experiment with some different fonts. This style is in the direction we are looking for.

ondarox: Like this design as well. The magazines are too big for the text. Could you make the name larger, try some different fonts and different colour variations?

Sparkie: # 1 - like the idea behind this. Could you try just two of the people - remove the tick on top of their heads. Hate this font. Please try some other variations. Something a little blockier maybe? Different positions of the symbol and colours would also be great to see. #2 does not appeal to me.

ejlain: Really like #1, #2 and #3. Could you experiment with different fonts and colours on these and also different positions of the symbol.

FTIGraphix: Like the direction you are headed also. Would like to see the symbol a little larger. Some different postions and different fonts colours. Could you also take a look at how the logo looks when it is small as it is a little hard to work out what the symbol is. Maybe you could add something to help them stand apart from one another?

Julie: Since seeing some of these other logos with the symbol representing a magazine, I would like to continue down this path. i still love the font you are using so if you wish to continue with the great ideas and try and add some sort of symbol which represents a magazine - I would love to see what you can come up with. :)

Again I just love what you all have come up with. You have provided me with much inspiration and I am going to find it VERY hard to choose a winner!!!

I am a little dissapointed that some of you didn't submit an update as there were some really great designs that I would have liked to see some changes. In the end I decided to play with the ideas myself.

and... the winner is.... ejlain - no 2 - with a few adjustments.

I just love coming to this place for my logo designs. Saves hours of time when I don't have to think creatively in my not so strong point of design! lol
