Hi guys

Our URL is www.theitteam.co.uk please check out our current logo and website there for info

I have filled out the standard answers below but please let me know if you require any other info

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

The IT Team - either as one brand stamp or three words, lowercase, mixed case or upper case.

What type of product or service do you offer?

We are IT company that specialises in providing support and implementation services to clients in the UK

How long have you been in business?

3 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

Create a known brand and identity for our existing clients. Project a higher level of professionalism to current and new clients.

What are your long term goals?

To expand our client base and to move from the SME sector into the mid range and corporate marketplaces

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

November 24th or sooner if poss

Audience Profile:

Please describe your existing audience

Generally SME’s with no internal IT staff with some larger clients.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

mid range, corporate & public clients

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:

What type of logo would you like?

Simple. fresh
strong/trustworthy.
A balance between corporate and creative.
Logo can be all textual, or with an image/icon/character of some kind. It would be nice to have an icon integrated into the text which could be altered for different products/ services (i.e. ‘support’, ‘consultancy’, ‘procurement’ etc)

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

Purple as we already have used it and have gained some brand recognition and other clean bold colours – I like green

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Open minded on this one but nothing cheesy or too literally I.T. – i.e. laptops etc – getting the ‘team’ message across is vital though .

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

Trustworthy, communicative, diligent. cutting edge, knowledgeable, resourceful, dynamic – held in high regard. Experts in the field.

What is your tagline or slogan?

The IT Team is Your IT Team

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

There are 3 elements to convey:

We are a seamless extension to your business providing top notch IT services and delivering cutting edge solutions with a highly professional approach

We are a talented team comprising experienced technicians who are not only likeable, but also go the extra mile to ensure that our clients get the best from all aspects of their IT systems.

We demystify the dark arts of IT and explain technology to the uninitiated, by making their systems transparent to them

Where will your new logo be used?

Website, stationary. Would like to see samples of how it might be applied to a simple stationary design (e.g. invoices, letters.)

Competitive Positioning:

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

UK based IT consultancy firms such as Fixit, IT Lab, Wavex, Managed Networks – personally I feel that they are not terribly inspiring logos – either too flippant or too formal – we want to strike the right balance

What sets you apart from your competitors?

Our friendly and highly professional approach – also we have rapid ‘guaranteed’ response times and state of the art internal systems

Targeted Message:

The IT Team is Your IT Team

Some logos I like:

I like the Absolut font and brand simplicity and Clara.net have a nice clean image

Guys

Many thanks for all of your submissions, apologies for the delay in responding. :)

I have looked through and have the following feedback to offer; we haven't quite captured the essence of the brief, although some elements are on the right track.

Conveying the relationship between our company and the client as an integrated 'team' is key to this brief and we are really keen to keep things tinged with a corporate feel.

We want strong, reassuring colour based around our core purple with complimentary schemes highlighting the company message or emphasixzing the brand.

I like the idea of representing the 'team graphicaly but feel that we cannot be to cliched or literal in our approach.

Having reviews things with my colleagues, messages 11, 13, 14 & 15 appeal most and please find comments below:

Message 11 - quite like the people sillouette but we need to have more emphasis on 'the' and 'Team' with IT standing out as a sector more clearly - quite like the choice of colours though - interested to see what comes up from slightly adapting this scheme

Message 13

This is a strong logo and we like the stamp like effect - not quite sure that incorporatign the hidden IT works and the 'e' and 'a' look to be fighting each other - would like to see the font adapted and made more consistant in terms of the layout of the words and possibly an inclusion of our existing purple colours if poss

Message 14

An interesting approach - liked the team portayal with the people sillouettes. slightly concerned that it's a bit subtle representing the 'I' and 'T' and also the briefcases make us look like a consultancy business when we would prefer to focuss more on the IT support side of things - colours could be a tad more solid - but certainly an appealing approachand would be keen to see derivatives if possible

Message 15

Quite liked the symbol and framing here - colours need to be stronger and the font is bit loose for what we are trying to achieve.

generally we have found that the 'ea' combination works best with a round 'a' not a standard squiggle

Hope that all makes sense and please email me if any clarification is required

Due to the delay at my end, we are now hoping to have selected someone to work with by the 9th Dec

Many thanks for all of your efforts

Dom
