I would like a logo to use for my company Tails and Whiskers Pet Sitting. I have a website at www.petsitters.com/tails&whiskers which you should view for information. We specialize in the care of cats and are a family owned and operated business. We want something that will be cute but professional and not "too" cute. Preferably something that epitomizes the name "Tails and Whiskers" as it applies to dogs and cats. We want to emphasize the cat design but not leave out the dogs. We will use the logo on our website and on letterhead, business cards and even on automobile car signs so it should be fairly basic and not too complex. We want it to be in color, preferably blues and greens in lettering. But obviously not blue and green animals! We have a service mark for our company so the initials of "sm" should be in superscript at the end of the name. We want something that will instill confidence in our customers and yet make them smile at the same time. Looking forward to your suggestions! I would like the contest to end on July 2, 2003. Thank you!!!

Check out the "w" on Whiskers and the "s" on Tails -- It's the Cat's Meow! ;)

HI Ed. This is very nice. :) A few more suggestions. Can you put the word "pet" in blue to match sitting services so it all sort of runs together in the same color? The dog is good. For the cat, it needs a little more work. The whiskers sort of look like they are coming out of its ears. I want long whiskers but maybe it would work better for a silhouette of the cat facing the other way toward the dog? Could you try a couple of different views of the cat to see what would emphasize the whiskers best? Keep up the good work.

Hi Sparkie. Very clever :o Can you put a smile on the dog's face with just a curved line? Can you make the W in whiskers just a regular W? It's cute but it looks a little like someone's behind to me. B) On the word opurrated can you underline the letters purr to emphasize that? Keep up the good work! :D

Hi Kimber. Thanks for your entry. ;) I'd like to see the cat as a Siamese with blue eyes and the dog more of a brown color. Please add the letters "sm" above the word whiskers in superscript to indicate my service mark. Could you give the dog a little bit more of a tail? Thanks!
Linda :)

That's no problem at all!
Do you have a particular breed in mind?
He's supposed to be a Schnauzer, and they don't have much of a tail.
(I thought it was kinda funny) :P
Let me know, and I'll work on the changes.
Thanks,
Kimber.

Hi Kimber. The schnauzer is perfect, that's my husband's favorite dog!!! :D
Just make him salt and pepper color. I think many of them are that color, right? Leave the tail short. You are right!! Thanks! How about adding "family owned and operated" somewhere next to "pet sitting"? I want the "tails and whiskers" part to stand out in big type. I will have it on the side of my vehicle and that's what I want most people to remember.

Hi everyone. :D Contest ends on July 2nd. Are there any more entries from anyone? I am waiting for an updated entry from Sparkie and I have pretty much a final version from Ed ejlain with maybe some tweaking. I am waiting for Kimber Cre8or to submit her revisions. Anyone else want to submit? I'd appreciate anyone's input about the entries I have so far. I will make a decision on July 3rd. This has been Sooooooo Much Fun !!! You are all so talented and helpful! What a great group !!!!

Hi Linda,
Sorry for posting these revisions in the "eleventh hour" so to speak,
but none-the-less, here they are:
The Schnauzer is (salt & peppa - or a simulation thereof).
The cat has turned Siamese.
The Service Mark is apparent.
And... it states that you're "Family owned & operated".
If there's anything else, please let me know and I'll get it together.
Thanks,
-Kimber

Hi everyone. I am adding another $100 to the contest as I plan to declare TWO first place winners instead of one. I know I will not be able to make up my mind. Each winner will get $100. ;) This is tough . . . . But I will make a decision on July 3rd. I'm waiting for one more revision to be posted. Of course anyone else can submit something if they wish as well. It will drive me crazier but that's OK!

Hi everyone. This has been a blast! :D I have had to choose two winners as I couldn't make up my mind. Actually I wanted three winners but couldn't afford any more dough . . . PALMER, you have a great website and a fantastic group of designers!!!
Before I announce the decisions, here are my comments:
CRE8OR: I absolutely loved the schnauzer and the siamese. The Siamese looked a lot like Si and Am from the Disney movie and the design you did with the stretching cat was so cool. The Schnauzer was adorable and I wanted to pick him up and squeeze him he was so cute and grumpy looking at the same time. Very nice work!
SPARKIE: You put so much time into this contest. I really appreciate your hard work and great ideas. I loved the image of the sleeping cat; simple and yet very effective. Having the tail flow into a raised letter "s" was great. It's a logo that makes you smile! And since you are a fellow cat lover, I enjoyed talking with you in email. You were so cooperative, available and friendly!
EJLAIN: The two ideas of yours with the Schnauzer and Siamese and the silhouette of the dog and cat behind the title were awesome. Very professional; excellent work and very eye catching. Nice colors. Logos that make you want to take a second look in order to catch all the details.
EL KOOTCHO: It's OK that you don't do "cute". You certainly do "professional"! Your design was clean, simple, impressive and interesting. It captures the image of dog and cat pet sitting without anything that detracts from the message. Yours was the favorite submission of my teenage son.
And now the two winners . . .oh this is painful . . . it actually hurts to have to choose only two . . . . ouch! ouch! ouch! :(
The prizes go to Ejlain and Sparkie !!!
Ed/Ejlain, I like the one of the Siamese and Schnauzer with the lighter blue lettering instead of the second one with the royal blue that I had asked you to do. I will email you separately with any minor modifications and to request info on obtaining the artwork and such.
Sherice/Sparky: The last version with the cat on the left, no dog and the tail flowing into the "s" is great. I will email you separately with any minor modifications and to request info on obtaining the artwork and such.
Again, my sincere thanks to everyone for their creativity and hard work. I am recommending this website to everyone I know!
