The winning designer will need to figure out how best to sell our lawn fertilizer & weed control program in the dead of winter. Typically, consumers wait until March when their lawn is covered with weeds to start inquiring about a weed control program. We will be pushing this advertising compaign in the dead of winter, a time when consumers don't think about their lawns. It is important to remind the prospects that when it comes to their lawn, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. In other words, they need to get the pre-emergence applications now, in the dead of winter, while their lawn is still dormant, in order to have a nice lawn this spring. If they wait until spring to worry about it, it's really too late.

Requirements: Post card dimensions are 4.25" X 5.5"
Final version should be PDF
Must include company logo, which will be e-mailed to Palmer
Must include MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express logos
Must include the text: BS Landscape Contracting - OSU
Must include telephone number: 972-365-8772

I will e-mail a picture of a healthy weed free lawn to Palmer. You are not at all required to use the photo and you would probably be better off using something that you come up with on your own.

I would like to have it done as soon as possible. This thread started on the 27th of last month, so I would say the 10th ought to be enough time. But it doesn't look like anyone has started yet.

GXG, we just have to tweak the text a little bit.

Let's try this:

Replace the text "Is your lawn under the weather?" with

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Replace "get the pre-emergence applications now..." with

"The most important application we make all year is in the winter. Don't wait until your lawn is covered with weeds to take action. It's not too late to have a nice lawn this summer. Call us today."
