Hello Everyone,

I am working on a friends site, and we haven't really established a lot with it, i mean, we only have the idea's and are going to work it out, as soon as we have a logo. The site will be about going out and other stuff me and my m8's do in the weekends.

But we are in need of a logo, i've tried and tried, but couldn't come up with anything. I mainly need idea's but if people want to work it out, is fine with me! But probably I will try to recreate it.

The name dikkop.com is translated from dutch: BIG HEAD.com. And we would probably need a logo which is a bit between professionall and fun.

We will be using this logo on shirts, cards and of course on the site and forum and some more stuff.

I hope i've given enough information and hope people will help me out with this,

this site will be mainly about what me and my friends do, what mainly is going out, drinking beer and other drinks and it's allso about going out for other people in our neighborhood, since we allways go by bike, 17 km, to go out to a large place we talk about this sort of stuff, and people now know us from these things, but now we want to give them more about us, maybe later we will even print shirts etc...

Klaas, this forum is more for churches, baseball teams, and organizations like that. I'm thinking that since you consider yourself a designer, they are assuming you can come up with something yourself.

Uh, well, I've been teetering on whether or not to bring this up......

But if you take the site name, dikkop, and the literal translation of that word, Big Head, and say them enough times in English, they start to sound like something Beavis and Butthead might say, which tends toward the gutter. Hard for me as a non-designer to see how I could get past that to design something meaningful.

Kind of like 2 clients I have with the last name Dummer. Took me awhile to get used to hearing it without snickering.

That may be a reason why you aren't getting a response. Another might be that there are a boatload of contests out there that are paying - one might even say more contests than the designers can keep up with. That would tend to make the freebies a lower priority, I would think.

Why is it that I'm always the one who brings these kinds of issues to the forefront? :rolleyes:

Thank you very much for your effort to create something for our site.

But it's not quite what we are looking for, we need something more like ehm a figure or object, and please keep in mind that the site is created for fun so the logo should be a bit like it to.

Yep, although we've had many debates about it, the charity cases are also only open to members of the Design Team. You can pm Klaas and get his email address so you can send it to him if you want but unfortunatly your entry is against the guidelines. :)
