Hello,
I'm needing a postcard designed for my lawncare company. The business name is "Melton Lawn & Landscape". I'm wanting something really professional looking. It will be used for a mailout. This is totally out of my element so I'll need you to be creative. Here are the services we offer.
Residential/Commercial lawncare.
Spring cleanups
Mulching
Chemical lawncare program
Landscape maintenance
Licensed and Insured.
We offer free esimates. Phone # is 501-920-4164. I've attached my logo. Please ask any questions. You guys designed a postcard for my church last year and did an awesome job.
Thanks

Hello, something to get this started. Also, do you have any images from you work or maybe some images that may represent your capabilities. These are just random images on the topic. If you have maybe just a simple mission statement or company philosophy it may help with the scope of you services and how they are presented. Comments always welcome
-Thanks

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of my work. I meant to do that last summer and never did. One thing I had in mind was maybe a picture of a family with smiling faces out on a lawn. Do you have any sort of picture like that? I was thinking about that and saying something like..."You're lawn is for your enjoyment". Just a thought.

How does this one so far?

that's more in line with what I had in mind. I would prefer more of a family look pic. I also didn't like the orange thing across the front.
thanks

front variations :D

Craze,
I think I like the last variation better. I'm not sure if I like the bottom with all the grass. That grass really doesn't look natural here. The grass here doesn't stripe that well. Do you have any other ideas on that? I really liked the top one but I'm just not sure about the feet. Add this to the back if you can "We are a full service lawncare and landscaping company that's committed to making your home beautiful. For your protection we are completely licensed and insured. We've been servicing commercial and residential properties in Central Arkansas for over 5 years and are now in your neighorhood. Give your property the attention is deserves by calling us today."
Thanks

Aliska,
All I'm getting is a small box with a red x. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Hello
You can't see any specific message with design or all of them?
mryanmelton
01-31-2006, 04:52 AM
Aliska,
I can see the text you wrote..."waiting for your comments" but I can't see the image just a little box with a red x.
Craze,
I like that better. You had a different photo on one up above in the upper right hand corner. Had a family in it. I like that one better in that spot.
Thanks
Aliska

Kekepania,
I really like that. I'm nost sure about having all the services listed on the front. I might would rather have the logo a little bigger instad, since the services will all be listed on the back. What do you think?
Thanks

Kekepania,
I really like that. My wife didn't really like the photo in the middle. Do you have anything else you might could put in there?
Thanks

One things I've thought about that I'd like to see in there somewhere is a shot of some really pretty flowers. That's also one thing I left out in our services offered but that change can be made in the final revisions.
thanks

Darwinish,
I really like that. Do you have a different shot of a flower? I don't deal with roses much. Is it ok that part of the family is covered up by the logo?
Thanks!

I'd still like to see some more if you guys have any.

Caze,
I'm really liking that last one you posted. I'm not sure if I like the peach color. Can you think of anything similar...but different?
Keke,
I'm really liking yours as well. It seems like the card may be missing something since I had you take the services off of the front. Anything we can do to maybe spice that up a little. I'm also not sure about the tulips.
Thanks a ton!

Keke,
I was thinking. Maybe move the logo back over to the left side and put a shot of some really pretty flowers on the right..whatta you think? And then maybe move the family pic to the middle and add another shot of a nice landscaped house in the lower left.
Thanks

flower revisions. I tried to get rid of some of that "peach" in the top version and in the second i tried a different flower photo and let it flow out of that shape.

Thanks for all of the hard work. I'm gonna think about it and make a decision tomorrow. I would welcome anything else to look at.

ok...I've made a decision. I'm choosing cazeyzman. It was a very tought decision and I really thank all of you for your hard work.
Caze...I like the one with the yellow flower. I'd like to make a couple of revisions before I sign off. Would it be hard to replace a couple of the pictures on the band? I really like the one on the left but I'm not sure about the other two. I really hadn't thought about it until I brought some people in to help me make a decision. I'd like to replace the pic in the middle with something similar. The house just doesn't look very well landscaped. I'm also not crazy about the one on the right. I found some on istock that I like if that would help.
Thanks

That sounds great!
Thank you!
Also, another dealer which i have an account through is www.dreamstime.com.
They seem to have plenty of similar photos and if you have any particular images in mind just let me know, otherwise I'll take a look and give you my thoughts.
-Thanks again

Caze,
I found a couple of house pics that I like one the website you mentioned. Luxury home3 and house 32. Check those out and see what you think. I couldn't find anything on the family thing. Do you have anything similar to the that's on there.
Thanks

Hello,
A couple of choices using the houses you referde me to. On maintaining the same family shot with a different house in the background and one with a couple walking.

Caze...#40 is perfect. I think I've decided to go with the background with the pink flowers in it though if that's not too much trouble. Here's what I want listed as the services.
Complete Lawn Care
Weed & Fertilization
Mulch Installation
Landscape design & Installation
Spring/Fall Cleanup

Hello hello,
When you say the background with pink flowers are referring to the left side bar image or the horizontal tiled images?
mryanmelton
02-09-2006, 10:23 PM
Caze...I was referring to the side bar. I like the horizontal images in #40 with the background of the second option in #35. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks

Caze,
Just a couple of revisions. I'm sorry for being so indecisive. I think I want to go back to the front in #40(the first one). I've also decided I don't like the message on the back. Just take that off and make the "services" bigger. I was also wondering if there was anything we could do to the back to dress it up a little. It seems a little "blah" compared to the front. What do you think?
thanks
cazeyzman
02-13-2006, 07:18 AM
Yeah, that sounds good, I'll give a look into making the back a little more catching and maybe use a photo or that grass texture.

Caze,
Sorry for the delay. I've been out of town. Everything looks good. The address is 124 Steed Rd., North Little Rock, AR 72117. My printer told me to make sure that this was "photoshop" ready. I'm not sure what that means but I know he has to put the postage number on the card.
Thanks alot!
