This contest is for the design of a 5.5x8.5 full color double-sided postcard. This will not be mailed, so don't worry about spacing for postage. I will be using 48hourprint.com for the printing.

My original thought was to put together a one-sided card, but since their pricing is for two sides I might as well use it. This project is for Five Star Lawn Maintenance, a full-service lawn care company.

Services provided are as follows: Mowing, Fertilization & Weed Control, Aeration, Overseeding, Renovation, and Mulch Installation.

Other things to include:

Licensed/ Insured
Slogan: Live your life...leave your lawn to us

I've seen some nice postcards and flyers designed here with pictures of lawns, homes with beautiful landscapes, etc. I'm not sure if the designers have these already or if they need to be supplied. Unfortunately, I have no quality photos of our work done.
Another thought could be having a family enjoying time together outside on the lawn. I'll let you be creative with it, since I'm not the most creative person in the world.

I would like to set a deadline of no later than Feb. 7th, two weeks from today. $150.00 to the winning designer.

The logo was designed here by Raja. He gave me a number of different formats, so I'm not sure which one would be the best.

A couple questions: Would it be possible to add some of the grassy image to the right of the logo on the front, instead of extending the white all the way to the edge?

Also, would it be possible to just list the "mulch installation" like the other services on the back?

Victor: Thanks for the revisions. That's exactly what I had in mind on the front. Looks great.

Aliska: I like your second entry more than the first. A few questions for you: Could you remove the image of the phone by the phone number? Also, could I see the text on the back in a regular font? Just the text, not the logo.
Final question, would it be possible to use a different grass in the background on the back side? I hate to be picky, but that grass is a little different texture than what is found in home lawns around here.

Victor: Could I see the back with a shade of the grass image showing through, instead of pure white? Kind of like what you did when you added the area on the front in the first revision you did for me. I'd like to compare the two looks. That would be greatly appreciated.

Fran: I see it now! I like what you have come up with. The only thing I ask is if I could see it with a different picture on the front? I don't necessarily dislike what you have now, but would like to have another shot on the front to compare it with. I like the theme you have there with a family type picture.

Kekepania: Would it be possible to see a different picture on front? Maybe get a full shot of a home with the lawn/landscape. Also, could you substitute some of the pictures on the back? The reason I ask is that I noticed what looks like dandelions in the picture with the dog. I can't really tell if there are any visible weeds in the other pictures. I don't mean to be so picky, but if someone is looking to get a green weed free lawn I want to make sure there are no weeds showing in any marketing/advertising material.

Hello, here is our revised version. I could not find anymore free stock photography for the front side, so I hope one pic from iStockphoto is ok. Let me know what you think of the two new photos and if you would like any others changed. Thank you for the feedback! :D

Kekepania: Thanks for the revisions. I like the new photo on front much better. One last question for now...could you substitute one of the pictures on the back (one of the pictures of kids alone, doesn't matter which one) for another parent/child or family type picture? Hopefully that made sense. If not I can clarify later.

Hi everyone!

I've seen some great entries so far. As of right now, all are still in the running. Thanks to all of those who have entered and took the time to make the changes I have requested.

If anyone else is thinking about making an entry, please do. I plan on sitting down this weekend to really take a look at these and get some outside advice as well.

I may declare a winner on Sunday night (2/5) or Monday morning (2/6) if nobody else is interested in submitting an entry.

Quick question: Can I see what it would look like with a different shade of green for the slogan, phone #, services include:, bullets, and the grass in the bottom right corner on back? If you can get something a little closer to the color of the grass in the logo, that would be great. I just started thinking it may look a little better with a green color that's a little brighter.

Hello everyone.

After narrowing the final two down to Victor (Martellostudio) and Kekepania, we have decided to go with Victor's design. This wasn't an easy decision by any means. I would like to thank everyone for their time spent on this project.

Victor, there is one minor revision that I would like to make before signing off on this project. On the back could you remove the "Phone Number:" and just make the actual number larger?
