(Admin code added by Palmer - 1SH67760SU334180J, 5U617982NE980802V)

We need a logo for our new product. We customize and re-brand children's products for the high-end luxury market.
Please see attached sample. This "emblem" will go on the side of ultra expensive custom CHILD CARSEATS. The seat is called "THRON" (with a – on top of the O).

The logo/branding should fit onto a 3" circle, as we did in the attached sample. But should also be able to be reduced. I prefer not to have any reference to children or carseats in this logo. This should be something classy that can be used on other products as well.

Those designers who have submitted designs for my other contest, please submit new designs here. I will be awarding that $150 amount to the winner of this contest, for a total of $275. We had to cancel that project due to an internal conflict.

Project Summary:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
"THRON" (sounds like THRONE, and should have a – on top of the O.

What type of product or service do you offer?
We upgrade and customize stock children's products for the luxury market.

How long have you been in business?
This is a new project for our business.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A logo that leaves an impression and will be recognized instantly. This will be a brand identity for all our products. It should be easily identifiable, with emotion, personality, and depth.

What are your long term goals?
To build a high-end, recognized, exclusive, trusted brand.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
No real deadline, would like to give designers full ability to come up with a great logo.

Please describe your existing audience
- Wealthy young parents

Who would you like to add to your audience?
- Wealthy young parents

What type of logo would you like?
Very classy and clean. Should appeal to the luxury high-end market.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
I would like to see maybe something with a crown. Other icons will also be considered.

Communication Strategy:

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
High-End, Luxury, Exclusive, Innovative, Hip, Classy

What is your tagline or slogan?
None

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Luxury brand of children's products

Where will your new logo be used?
Prominent placement on products, website, brochures

Format:
Illustrator 10 format

Thank you both for your designs.

Caroline: Very clever use of the crown as the phonetic symbol. It's an overall clean design, but I was looking for something more elegant, unique and exciting.

Titania: Please, no chairs in the design. This branding will be used on other products as well. I like the colors, but the font doesn't do it for me.

To everyone: I'm not insisting on the crown idea. Please use your imagination for other interesting options as well. But I think it's important to have some sort of "–" above the O so it reads as THRONE.

Thanks!

Hi Vital,

Here's a relatively simple concept, based on being above with a reference back to your crown concept (remaining non-gender specific) while also re-inforcing the safety and stability of the product.

Your feedback is appreciated. I look forward to you reply.

Cheers,

Paul

And here's a type only variation.

I've just noticed that the colour replication when saving for the web isn't very good. The colour is a deep red.

Cheers,

Paul

Titania: I think your version 2 looks too cute and too busy. Even though this is a children's product, I would like to keep the branding classy and appeal to adults more. I like the style in the Chinese beer logo (Version3) that you've done. Maybe you can try something in the same style. THANKS!

Paul: Thank you for the explanation and very interesting concept. We really need to stay with the circle here due to the emblem production process. I definitely do feel the "safety and stability" in your logo, but i'm not sure if your logo will have the same effect within a circle. And the "umbrella" reminds me of the current" citi" logo.

ALL: I think it would be good idea to have either the name or the design element be the dominant focus. Otherwise it makes the whole thing too busy. I'm open and looking forward to more ideas!

Hi Guys, thanks for all the new ideas.

DAVID: Doesn't quite appeal to me. Looks a little too "Jesterish"

CAROLINE: Your designs are really simple and clean. I like it, but i don't feel EXCITED about it. This will be a 3" emblem on the side of the seat, so it will be very visible. I like this lowercase font too. Please see if you can add something to make it jump.

GIG: Your design is too "playful" for the look we're trying to achieve. Reminds me of a clown or a jester. And the name should be THRON. Please try something else.

PRACUS: Sorry, this doesn't appeal to me. It reminds me of some kind of animal trap or someone took a bite out of it with sharp teeth :) Please try something else.

Thanks all...looking forward to seeing more stuff!

Latest comments:

PRACUS: Sorry, not quite what I'm looking for. If you have anything else to offer, please do so.

PAULA: Your V1 crown is interesting. But I think there is too much going on with the badge itself. Please try getting rid of the little circles and the spike on top of the crown. Not too crazy about the font either.

BART: Thanks for joining in. I really like your idea with V2. I have two problems with it though. Not crazy about the font. Maybe something more interesting? Also, does the lion seem too masculin? This is a unisex seat, so don't want the girls to get frightened. Maybe adding a little more detail would help? Don't really know.

CAROLINE: You're going the wrong way with this. This would be impossible to create in the process we're looking at. Take a look at my original sample and Thinkkre8tiv's V2. He's got the right idea. The colors need to be separated by metal. Two colors can't touch each other.

TO ALL: Type, lines, and small elements should be silver metal. Colors should be separated by metal also. Please see my original example and message #17. This is the only way the emblem can be produced.

Lots of great stuff on here so far!

TITANIA: You have the right idea with the metalized logo, but I'm still not too happy with the design. I would like to see something else from you if possible.

PAULA: I like Versions 3 & 4 much better. I have a problem with the font though. I would like to see something sleeker and more modern. And please delete that line, it doesn't help the design at all.

Thanks guys! This will be a very hard decision.

My comments:

PAULA: I'm still not happy with the font choices. They just don't fit the logo very well in my opinion. Also, your V6 looks embossed. The letters need to be flat, not raised.

BART: Your V3 looks good. Please work a little more with the font. I think there are better choices. And I'm not about the font background.

RATBAGGY, GIG, TITANIA: Your designs are not quite what I'm looking for. Thanks for the great efforts!

RUAIRI: I think you have something good going there. Color variations are not important at this point, so don't waste your time on them. I like the simplicity, but i'm not sure you can see that as a crown. It reminds me more of a Canadian flag.

TO ALL: I would like to see some other ideas other than crowns. More emphasis on a stylized "THRON" for example.

Everyones effort is greatly appreciated...REALLY!

PRACUS: Very nice alternative to all the other designs. I don't think the crown is necessary here though. Maybe try something simpler in the outer circle and larger ornaments on the inside going around THRON. Also remember, there should only be silver metal and red color, no black outlines. This is really nice. Thank you.

Hi!
Thank you for very kind words! There are no black outlines, only red and silver colors.
One question: when is the deadline? I have missed this information :)

Vital
02-12-2006, 04:31 PM
PRACUS: It looks like you have some dark shadows there, so I thought they were black outlines. There is no deadline, but I would like to get this done within the next week or so. Thanks.

Hi everyone, thanks for the great work!

Latest comments:

NHR: Although your logo looks graphically exciting, it doesn't portray the "class and exclusivity" that I'm looking for.

FABIAN: Thanks but this won't work with our product.

PRACUS: After looking at your concept again, I'm getting an old "Victorian" feel to it. This is not the look that would go with the product. It's very elegant though.

RUAIRI: RE #54, I like the simplicity and subtlety of your orginal more. This one looks TOO much like a crown, especially with the added details. I would like it closer to your original version.

TO ALL: After seeing the concepts everyone had to offer, I now have a better understanding for the "look and feel" that I need to achieve our goal. RUAIRI's and BART's logo's come closest.

I would like to explore one more concept here, using the CAT from the original logo that I posted. The CAT has always been a symbol of luxury and mystique, and I think it would work well in the logo. Please give me your own versions of the "luxurious cat" with CLASS, POISE and ATTITUDE. This is open to anyone and the cat can have any pose. We're almost there....Thanks!

RUAIRI: I really like this overall look. Can you make this cat a little less Egyption if possible? And also please try a laying down cat.

DEANA: Thank you for the effort, but it's not what I'm looking for.

RUAIRI: Out of your entries, I like v10 the best. It's included in the final selection. Great job.

BART: Great job with v5. It's also included in the final selection.

TITANIA & NHR: Thank you both for your efforts, but it's not what I looking for.

PRACUS: After all your hard work, you've come up probably the best logo here, that captures everything I'm looking for. Please see how you can fit the name in there. Super!

TO ALL: I will be meeting with the partners early next week to discuss the logos that I feel captures the essence of our product. Thank you all for participating and coming up with some great concepts. You're all very talented individuals! Stay tuned for the winner. If anyone else has any last minute ideas, you're welcome to present them.

And any other interesting way you can think of, without adding another "curve" like you did in message 84. I would like the crown to be the main focus. Know what I mean?
