Greetings! We would like a logo by Feb. 13 for the 2006 GeoDomain Expo, which is sponsored by Associated Cities.

Associated Cities is a network that has brought together many of the country’s city dot-coms (or “GeoDomains”) including NewYorkCity.com, LosAngeles.com, Chicago.com and Atlanta.com. The 2006 GeoDomain Expo, which will be held in Chicago from June 2 to June 3, is an event that will bring together the owners of the fastest-growing and most intuitive brands on the Web. About 100 sites will be represented.

In the logo, we would like the words 2006 GeoDomain Expo to be the most prominent. We would like Sponsored by Associated Cities to be less prominent.

In terms of an icon, we would like a map or some image that represents the world or the notion of “global”. You’re also welcome to play with ideas off the notion of city dot-coms and the Internet.

For reference, below is the Associated Cities logo.

Here is something that incorporates global and internet all in one. Also tried to get close to the association font as well.

This is a good start! We definitely want some sort of "global" image/look and we'd like to see some more possibilities.

I'm not sure I understand the "G" out of the globe or the reasoning behind having the globe open.

This globe looks similiar to the globe in the first submission. I suppose we're interested in seeing different looks that represent the world. Also, remember that this is a conference for the owners of city dot-coms.

These are all very good presentations!

We have decided to go with Caroline ("Vertlime").
