Project Type: Tri-Fold Brochure
Award Price: $250.00
Project Cut-Off: 2/17/06

Overview
You will be creating a double sided 8.5" x 11" tri-fold brochure for a 3D photography and virtual tour company. These brochures will be mailed to prospects who may be interested in purchasing our services.

Attachments include:
Layout in PDF
Company Logo (EPS, GIF, TIF)
"Pano1" - To be used for entire background on address section
"Tour1" - this is a screenshot of a tour
"Tour2" - this is another screenshot of a tour

External Attachments
Layout in Microsoft Publisher Format (http://www.immersive-imaging.com/derek/iisbrochure.pub)
Brochure Text (no formatting) in Microsoft Word Format (http://www.immersive-imaging.com/derek/iisbrochure.doc)

Notes
The black text is actual text to use in the brochure, and it's been placed to designate the general layout I'd like. Note that I say general layout, because you are free to format it however you want. Make it look nice; put boxes around it, position it a little differently, etc. You will see red text in the document too. Red text is just a note to YOU that tells you what should be placed there.

For each vertical section (there are 3 sections on each side, designated by where the folds would be), there should be some buffer between the text and the fold, as in any standard brochure. HOWEVER, on the inside page, you will notice the middle and right sections are basically merged and text spans across, ignoring the fold. Please keep it this way. We want the viewer to completely open the brochure so that it is flat here and that section is then the size of two joined together.

This project will need to be delivered in Illustrator format with full bleed and ready for printing at the highest resolution.

You can use any colors you like. Please at least use some of the colors that you will see on our website (immersive-imaging.com) . Use lots of shadows, gradients, etc to emphasize 3 dimensions (because that is the basis of our product offering). Add any icons or images you like. If we must purchase any of them, please make note of that when you post the mockup, along with the additional price we'd have to pay for them.

Final note: please add our URL in a few other spots on

Hey there, attached please find a front page design of your brochure. I have tried to incorporate color accents related to your logo as well as colors from your current website. Are the fonts / sizes O.K. with you ? Would you like something more busy when it comes to the backgrounds ? I wasnt sure about the size of the box / placement on the mailing panel. Is that something that your printer will do ? Currently, the image on the panel bleeds off the page. I didn't know if you will go with a full bleed or will you will want some spaces between the image and the edge. Lastly this is just a mockup, a starting point for us to build upon. Lets get this thing rollin' ;)

Pawel,

Fantastic start! I would like more going on in the background, perhaps some blues. The sizing/location of the mailing box is fine, we will worry about that later when we actually go to get this printed. The bleed is good as well. The fonts and sizing look fine - you can try some other ideas if you come up with any!

Hey Derek
I have changed the design a bit according to your suggestions. Added some blue etc... There's a subtle gradiation in the left panel. I have a question though. The colors in your logo, are they pantone colors ? If so could you give me their values. I tried to check in Illustrator but looks like they've been converted to process colors. Also, will this brochure be printed on a glossy stock or regular one ?
Thanks

Here's the updated front page design

Hi Derek, here is my entry. Basically the folder is based on the design of your logo.

Here´s an overview to feel the whole design:

Hi, Derek! I do have something in the works... but I won't be able to post the 2nd side of the brochure until late Sunday. I know the deadline was Friday, but, hopefully - it's not too late for the last minute entry! I noticed you won't be commenting until Monday, so I'll post what I do have now: So far I've three versions of the front and I played with the "target" icon that appears in your screen shots... as I said, I'll post the rest tomorrow. Thanks, Derek! - Kim :)

Kim,

The whole right section (that the background is a room) I wanted white, the whole thing. Also, I forgot one other thing. On the left section where it lists the packages, "Create Your Own" should be its own package, so it would be blue with a bullet point.

Kimpossible

Oopsie! I got a little confused by "lower third" regarding the white! I made the other change with "Create Your Own" being it's own entity. Let me know if this is okay...
