We need a logo for our installer, called InstallAWARE.
Below are some ideas to get you started:
1) Stylized renderings of the text InstallAWARE:
a) InstallAware,
b) InstallAWARE,
c) InstallAware, with Install and Aware in different colors+font,
d) InstallAWARE, with Install and AWARE in different colors+font.
2) Graphical expression of what the product does:
a) Download files from the Internet and install them,
b) Produce very small installer packages,
c) Install applications easily on end user systems,
d) Install applications from the Internet, Network, or CD,
e) Download optional features from the Internet on-demand,
f) A combination of the above.
3) A combination of 1&2 above.
This product is an installer, like InstallShield, Wise, NSIS, InnoSetup. The logo should reflect the fact that the product is an installer! Below is brief product description to inspire you:
InstallAware is the premier solution for building easily-scriptable Windows Installer packages—with up to 5x better compression than typical MSI setups—and the only MSI development solution to offer you the benefits of WebAware installation technology™. Now, you can forget manually populating MSI tables or building lengthy sequences. InstallAware’s unique scripting capabilities allow you to simply write a setup script using IF statements to branch for different systems. InstallAware converts your script into a logo-compliant MSI that supports Repair, Advertising, and Install-on-demand. InstallAware provides you with the power of Windows Installer technology and the simplicity of a genuine scripting solution.

Doesn't seem related to an installation concept.

And another one :)

Regarding my first submission. The idea behind the icon is a globe that is being created out of small pieces - similar to what an installer does.

Medigraph:
I like your idea of having progress bars in the text. Can we make them look more Vista like, and maybe add more graphical elements to the text?

Ruari:
Can we try a color different than orange?
Also, maybe you can try some graphics without text, but with plain graphical representations of the installation process, an install wizard, something like that.

Hello,
We are looking for an installer logo. The name of the installer is InstallAware.
This is a product similar to InstallShield, Wise, InnoSetup, NSIS. I have attached a GIF file which contains images taken from all of these products. We are an installer company so our logo should be similar.
We are looking for images that will, in particular, describe some/all of the following ideas:
1) Stylized rendering of the text InstallAware
2) Very strong compression of files
3) Very beautiful user interfaces in setups
4) Copying files from CD, Internet, Network, and other sources, in a single setup
5) Great interoperability with Windows Installer
Thanks in advance for all your submissions!
Here are some new ones.

Thanks for the updated designs. Reviewing what is available here so far, I think I would like to make the following clarifications for the directions:
1) If you are going to use text in the logo, do not intersperse it with graphical elements. Just have easy to read, stylized text instead. The clearer and crisper the text, the better. Earlier InstallShield logos used to be just text - but the font and stylization was so good, the text was always remembered on its own.
2) Some elements which I'd like to see in graphical renderings:
a) Floppy/CD/DVD/Network device elements
b) Computer monitors (CRT/LCD), keyboards, peripherals
c) Elements representing files, the registry
d) Hammers, toolboxes, other similar hardware items suggesting setting up things
e) Succession of wizard dialogs
For graphical pieces, Ruari v05 looks nice - the progress bar with the arrow is used very nicely. But the box is too generic, and doesn't really suggest an installation. So the overall impression is just that something lengthy is going on. Perhaps adding some of the above elements can help more closely bind the context to installers.
For textual renderings, I think what we have so far isn't really crisp, clean and clear enough. So hopefully we can improve those as well, by removing graphical elements from the main text. I like what I see - its just that I'm trying to make it better.

Hi,
Thank you for the latest information, it has been helpful a lot. Here's another concept which can also be used as a single icon, incorporating an "i" at the middle.

NHR, I really like your version 1.0!
This is in line with expectations. Very clean, crisp, clear!
Can we have more like these please, refinements and offshoots of this idea?
Please keep them coming! Remember, 3 C's: Clean, Crisp, Clear!

Of course, of course...
I am unable to do anything right now, but in about 10 hours from now I will be.

Hi Ruairi!
I really like your version 3. The colors are nicely done, the progress bar is smooth, and the arrows add sophistication. It would be perfect if you could make a couple of improvements to this one:
1) The arrows are around an empty sphere. Can you add a monitor, CD, disk, or other computer related item there?
2) Can we see a few variations on the color for the text font, and also a straight-coloring scheme for the text (no fade out on top)
3) 8&9 are also exciting concepts. You may be able to borrow some elements from 8/9 and introduce them to #3. I don't like the fonts used in 8&9, but its good that there is no gradient inside the text itself. And I like the monitor with the progress bar and arrows in #8.
Then, version 7 is also great! But I actually did not understand what it meant until a friend helped me see! Its a great concept, but a little hard to understand, Can you perhaps make the logo more 3-D ish, so its a little easier to immediately see what's going on? And also add a text in addition to the logo...
Thanks! Excellent work!!!
I am undecided between 3&7...your changes will reveal :)

Hi NHR!
Thanks for your latest work!
First of all, lets stay away from the graphics style in #4. It looks a bit outdated to me.
Next, I like the added sophistication in version 3.0. It makes the graphic look a lot better. The only problem is the pie graph-looking item is a little confusing. Can you possibly improve on that concept a little?
As for texts and fonts, I like the simple, crisp appearance of #3 and #1 - lets stick with those. The colors in #1 especially are better looking of the two.
Finally, I like the creative variances of 5.0 and 5.1 - but the colors and the background circle put me off a little. I think blue is always more professional looking, confidence inspiring. And lets try to use setup related materials...
Thanks so much for your efforts! Lets see what your latest revisions come up with.
Thank you for comments.

Hi Ruairi!
I like 7-01 and 7-02 a lot!
Can we make some refinements to the CD? It looks a little to thick; if we can refine this look a little more, that'll be great.
Thanks!
Here are the changes you requested. Let me know what you think.
